They've put on a united front in recent weeks in the wake of their shock split, but Jennifer Garner made a solo appearance without Ben Affleck this weekend.

The 43-year-old actress was seen taking her three children to the beach in Santa Monica, California, on Saturday, without her estranged husband, also 43.

Jennifer was spotted on the family funday alongside her new nanny, in addition to her three children with her actor ex; Violet, nine, Seraphina, six and three-year-old Samuel.

Aww, we hate to see these two fighting but at least it gives us a chance to gawp at what Jennifer Garner's wearing. (silver lining?)
