She is a master at keeping it classy on the red carpet.

And Rachel Weisz didn't disappoint on Sunday as she attended a photo call for her new movie The Lobster, in New York.

The 45-year-old actress looked stunning in a white sequin-encrusted gown with blue and red flashes of colour.

Make sure you shine in an embellished dress by Marc Jacobs

Who do you think wore it best - Rachel Weisz or Kendall Jenner?

It's no wonder Rachel was so bowled over by the dress that Kendall modelled on the Marc Jacobs SS16 runway at New York Fashion Week earlier this month (pictured, right) that she snapped one up for herself straight away. And here she is wearing it her own way at as she walked the red carpet at the premiere of The Martian!

The embellished upper half of this dress is super chic and provides the perfect contrast to the spangled chevron midi skirt in patriotic shades of red, white and blue. Of course this hot off the catwalk look isn't yet available to buy, but if you can't wait until next year, click (right) to shop the current Marc Jacobs collection at Net-a-Porter.

Or check out the embellished dresses we've got lined up for you in the edit below. Frock and Frill has well and truly got the trend covered, or team this two-in-one dress by Ted Baker with a sleek up 'do to be red carpet ready.

Flattering her figure was a thick red satin belt and a pleated skirt with geometric pattern.

The bodice of the dress was cut high at the neck and trimmed with navy satin, just like the sleeves.

Rachel teamed it with silver stilettos and a jeweled clutch and wore her hair casual waves.

Rachel's new film has been picking up buzz after it was selected to compete for the prestigious Palme d'Or at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival back in May, going on to win the Jury Prize, and now the leading lady is lapping up the attention from the Toronto Film Festival critics.

Yorgos Lanthimos' movie, which also stars the likes of Colin Farrell, Léa Seydoux, John C. Reilly and Ben Wishaw, is about a dystopian future where those who fail to find a mate are turned into an animal.

The film, which was co-written by Lanthimos and Efthimis Filippou, is a sci-fi love story in which single people are arrested and transferred to a hotel.

The then have forty-five days in which to find a partner or they are sent into The Woods as beasts.

'I've met a number of people who have seen the film, and they all seem to interpret it differently,' Rachel, who has been married to Bond star Daniel Craig for four years, told press in Cannes of her film earlier this year.

'To me, the first thing it makes me think about is narcissism; that in the story you have to fall in love with somebody who has similar qualities to yourself. I think often love can be a bit narcissistic. That's my first impression, but everyone has a different interpretation.'

'So I'm going to say it's a very, very romantic film, in the old-fashioned sense of the word Romantic with a capital R,' she added. 'It's the pursuit for love and happiness and togetherness which is incredibly hard. In this Lanthimos [the director's] universe, it's especially hard to find love.'
