Subscriptions to the digital edition of The Atlantic Magazine can be managed via your iTunes account. Issues are sold individually for $6.99 or for a year-long (ten issue) subscription for $21.99. The price of single issues has increased from $4.99 to $6.99. Older versions of the app will list the price as $4.99 until you accept the update. The price change is effective immediately, whether or not you accept the update. Payment will be made through the iTunes store to your iTunes account and subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24-hours prior to the end of the current period, and identify the cost of the renewal. Subscriptions may be managed by the user and auto-renewal may be turned off by going to the user’s Account Settings after purchase. No cancellation of the current subscription is allowed during active subscription period. Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when the user purchases a subscription to that publication."

Please improve it
The magazine is great. The app is the worst I have ever encountered. I've been using it for two or more years now, and can't believe they haven't fixed it. Often takes two to three minutes to render the magazine, on a modern tablet with a fast connection, and has not a clue as to where I left off reading. I do most of my reading on my tablet, and find most magazine apps satisfactory. Atlantic, please hire a new app developer and fix this mess.
Make the website work
I hate having to download an app just because the mobile website is so horrible. The current Atlantic website achieves this and when you break down and download the app to read a story that you half read the first thing the app tries to do is extract money from you or verify a subscription.
Frustration
Having just purchased a subscription I am having tremendous difficulty moving to and through the item I am trying to read. Note "trying", because I am not able to maintain the access and continuity I enjoy in a hard copy magazine.
