Mariah Carey pays tribute to her four-year-old daughter Monroe as they flash huge smiles on National Daughter's Day

She is the proud mum of four-year-old twins Monroe and Moroccan.

And Mariah Carey, 45, paid tribute to her adorable daughter Roe as people in the US celebrated National Daughter's Day on Sunday.

Alongside a precious Instagram snap of her and her little girl, Mariah wrote: 'Happy National Daughter's day!!! Love you Roe Roe and all you daughters in the land! #nationaldaughtersday'

The image sees Mariah flash a huge smile as she hovers over Monroe, in what appears to be a fast food restaurant, with a pair of sunglasses perched on her head.

Roe is sporting a head of tight bouncy curls and thick-rimmed glasses as she sits at the breakfast bar with a cheeky grin on her face.

And the cute family photos didn't stop there. In another image, Mariah is glamorous in a black evening gown as she sits with both of her little ones having been honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

She looks as them lovingly as they crowd around her dressed in white.

Alongside the snap, she wrote: 'I lost my heart in you. There in the dark. Underneath the stars'

And Mariah has clearly been feeling nostalgic and profound just lately as she also shared a throwback photo of her and Monroe stood in front of the Eiffel Tower.

In the image Mariah nuzzles Roe's neck and quotes Audrey Hepburn in the caption, writing: '"Paris is always a good idea." #audreyhepburn #paris'

Mariah split from the twins' father Nick Cannon last year after six years of marriage. However, when mother's day came around in May the US TV host was full of praise for the mother of his children.

Taking to his social media page, the 34-year-old America’s Got Talent host posted a picture of 45-year-old Mariah looking glamorous as the twins played on either side of her.

He wrote on Instagram: 'Gotta represent for the Mother of my children. She is such a wonderful, thoughtful, festive, loving and nurturing Soul.

Mariah has since found love with 48-year-old billionaire James Packer. 

The casino magnate announced his split from his second wife Erica Packer in 2013.

Meanwhile, Mariah's ex-husband Nick was spotted heading for dinner with 21-year-old model Winnie Harlow last week.
