This weekend, it emerged that Princess Eugenie, much like her older sister, has been getting a reputation for taking too many holidays and been banned from any more trips by her new employer after using 25 leave days in her first ten weeks.

But the 25-year-old royal isn't alone in her fondness for back-to-back vacations, in fact, her paltry four trips this year pale in comparison with the likes of Kim Kardashian and Tamara Ecclestone.

MailOnline has looked into the stars who take the most holidays and it turns out Eugenie still has some way to go before she catches up with her sister Beatrice, who we have crowned this year's Travelling Queen, with 13 trips already under her belt for 2015.

Also on our list racking up the air miles are Tamara Ecclestone, who is hot on Beatrice's heels with an incredible 12 vacations to numerous exotic locations.

Sun-loving Coleen Rooney comes joint third place with Alessandra Ambrosio, who have both been on nine holidays this year so far.

While Kim Kardashian brings up the rear with seven holidays stamped into her passport.

Here, MailOnline Travel turns the spotlight on the prolific celebrity holidaymakers and look at how they managed to bag so many vacations this year...

Princess Beatrice

Princess Beatrice has enjoyed a record 13 holidays in 2015

Eugenie might be the one taking a pasting from the boss for her love of holidays, but it's her sister Beatrice who is the real traveler in the family.

The 27 year old has enjoyed a record 13 holidays in 2015 alone.

The royal holidays began shortly after the princess quit her £19,500-a-year job at Sony amid claims that her details had been exposed by the North Korean cyber attack.

Her first trip in 2015 was to St. Barts in the Caribbean where she celebrated New Year aboard steel tycoon Lakshmi Mittal's yacht.

After a brief trip back to London to hand in her resignation to Sony, Beatrice then returned to the Caribbean for another week before flying onto New York to visit Princess Eugenie.

Next came a romantic Valentine's trip to Verbier, again staying at her parents' £15m chalet, with boyfriend Dave Clark, followed by a third skiing break at Aspen.

She returned just in time for the princess to squeeze in another trip - a weekend in Greece with friends at the start of March.

Two weeks later, Beatrice returned to New York to celebrate sister Eugenie's birthday before flying back to Verbier at the start of April.

On the 12th came another trip to the US, this time to Florida, before flying to the Middle East on the 19th to attend the Bahrain Grand Prix.

A couple of days later, Beatrice was in Florence for the Conde Nast Fashion conference.

It wasn't long before she was on her travels again - this time a Bahamas break with Mr Clark.

Then, just four weeks after starting her new job in New York in July, she was pictured aboard Russian Oligarch Roman Abramovich's yacht in Ibiza.

Tamara Ecclestone

Tamara's father is thought to be worth around £2.5 billion, and the socialite is worth a substantial amount too.

So it's little surprise that she spends a huge portion of her time on exotic holidays.

She kicked off 2015 with a family trip to Dubai, where she treated her daughter Sophia to her first ever manicure.

A month later, she and her husband Jay took their daughter skiing in Gstaad, Switzerland. They were joined by Tamara's father Bernie, who has a £23 million chalet in the town.

March was a busy month for the star, with both a city break in Milan and a 24-hour trip to Lake Como to celebrate Jay's birthday.

After a bit of a break in April, Tamara headed to Paris for some shopping in May, followed by a few days in Cannes in the south of France to let her hair down.

She then headed over to Monaco for the Grand Prix.

In June, Tamara and Jay headed to New York with Sophia - it was the toddler's second trip to the Big Apple in her little life. They followed the city break with a trip to the Bahamas.

In July, the 31 year old was in Milan for a working holiday and afterwards she headed to Mykonos in Greece for a spot of relaxation.

She then hopped straight on a plane to LAX to visit her sister Petra.

Coleen Rooney

Wayne Rooney can't take many holidays because of his football commitments, but that doesn't stop his wife Coleen from travelling the world.

The WAG has been on no less than nine holidays this year already.

In February, Coleen headed to Paris with a group of girl friends to watch Ed Sheeran in concert.

Then in March, she headed to Butlins in Skegness for an outing with her family, followed by another British holiday in a caravan Presthaven Beach Resort in Prestatyn, North Wales.

In April, she opted for some guaranteed sunshine though, with a trip to Dubai, where she went skydiving over the city.

But she was back to local holidays the following month when she took a short break to Ireland.

The 29 year old then flew out to the Bahamas with Wayne and their two sons Kai and Klay for some sunshine, followed by a trip to Portugal.

After Portugal, the fashion designer flew over to Barbados, before she returned to Portugal for a family holiday with her parents.

Alessandra Ambrosio

The Victoria's Secret model has made her living modelling swimwear, so she could almost argue that there is a business purpose to her endless vacationing.

The star kicked off 2015 with a holiday in Lima with her husband and their two children... and she has barely been in one place for longer than a week since then.

Alessandra has been on a total of nine holidays this year (and we're not counting the exotic locations that she goes to for photo shoots).

They include Ibiza, Venice, Mykonos, Paris, Rio, Rome, Lake Como... and some more Brazil.

To prove our point, she posted a snap of the view from her plane window as she landed in Formentera earlier today.

Kim Kardashian

Kim Kardashian kicked off 2015 with a ski holiday to Utah with Kanye West and since then she has taken six more vacations.

The couple joined eight other couples at Deer Valley, a resort placed on the map during the 2002 Winter Olympics, to celebrate a friend’s birthday.

In February, the reality star headed to the slopes again, this time to Montana.

This time, Kim opted for some mother-daughter moments, bringing along her daughter North for the vacation at Big Sky.

A month later, Kim made her first trip to France of the year, coinciding her journey with Paris Fashion Week.

She visited several of the shows for the big fashion houses, including Balmain's, where she took this snap with the designer Olivier Rousteing, Kanye, Lewis Hamilton and Jared Leto.

Returning to her roots, a grown-up looking 34-year-old Kim made a sombre trip to Armenia with Kanye and sister Khloe in April.

Kim’s father was a third generation Armenian American and the trip was an attempt to retrace their cultural heritage.

After Armenia, Kanye, Kim and 22-month-old North West made a whistle stop trip on their private jet to Israel.

They met Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barkat and had North West baptised at a 12th century church, Saint James Cathedral, in the old city.

Kim then returned to Paris in July, for a shopping trip and to catch up with friends.

Then last month, the reality star headed to St Barts with the whole Kardashian family for some relaxation.

The pregnant star was snapped sunning herself in a black bikini during the trip and later took to her Instagram page to share several selfies in a tan-coloured bikini on the beach.
