'Please just respect me': Justin Bieber takes to Snapchat to rant about fans screaming for photos... before giving a lesson in how to approach the superstar

Justin Bieber's rockstar reception on arrival back to Australia was met with mixed feelings on Sunday.

Early in the day, the Canadian singer dutifully gave waiting crowds in Melbourne high-fives and posed for photos with fans.

But just hours later, the 21-year-old took to Snapchat to rant about fans screaming for shots with him, before schooling them in the best way to approach him.

Justin's voice can be heard saying: 'The way you ask or approach me when you want a photo with me is going determine if I take a photo or not.

'If I'm walking somewhere or arriving somewhere and you guys are asking me to take a photo, if I don't respond, if I continue to keep walking, the likelihood is that I probably don't want to take a photo at that moment.

'If you start screaming louder that's not going to make me take a photo more,' he reminded fans.

The What Do You Mean singer recorded the clips while in the back-seat of the car driving him around Melbourne, with the camera taking in the scenery outside the window.

'I want to enjoy the moment like you're enjoying the moment but I can't enjoy it if I'm not feeling there's any respect given to me that moment,' the singer continued.

'Usually the chances are I'll take a photo but if perhaps I don't, or I'm not in the mood to take a photo that moment, please just respect me and just treat me the way you want to be treated,' he added.

Clearly having his fill of posing for happy snaps having just disembarked off a 13 hour flight from LA, the Baby crooner admitted: 'Honestly I'd rather stand there and talk to you for five minutes and not take any photos... just have that moment without the chaos.

'It's like why did you travel to see me in the first place, was it really to see me or was it to get that moment of you seeing me so you could tell people about it?

'Just remember I'm not unattainable, unreachable, I'm just like you and I communicate just like you, so next time remember,' Justin added.

Despite his afternoon rant on social media, he had taken to Twitter during the day to thank fans for his warm welcome.

'Loving Australia. I've missed this place,' Justin tweeted, adding: 'Thanks for the welcome.'

Earlier in the day, after lunch at Nandos, the pop star took photos with waiting fans before spending some time on the beach in St Kilda.

The young star sported a loose white T-shirt and long red basketball-style shorts with matching red trainers.

Showing off his sleeves of tattoos on the warm spring day, the international superstar kept his newly peroxide blonde locks hidden underneath a Chicago Bulls cap.

In the morning, as Justin made his way out of the airport, his lightened locks were covered by his beige hoodie.

Some of the star's dedicated fans, who are called Beliebers, lined up outside Melbourne Airport since 5.30am to greet the singer.

While only in Australia between September 27 to September 30, Justin has a busy schedule ahead of him with three concerts in Sydney and Melbourne planned.

Justin will perform at 2DayFM's World Famous Rooftop in Melbourne on Monday, before heading to Sydney to sing on Channel Seven's The X Factor Australia and at an exclusive concert event called 'Bieber Island'.

The KIIS presents iHeartRadio LIVE gig will be held on an island in Sydney Harbour and will be an opportunity for dedicated fans to see the performer live.
