A Kanas police officer has earned praise for his kindness after offering a homeless man who has been walking more than five hours to work each way a bike to ease his daily commute. 
This is the second time in as many months that the Roeland Park Police Department has made headlines for all the tight reasons.
Back in July, Roeland Park officer Mark Engravalle sparked a flurry of articles and TV news reports when he bought a mother who was caught shoplifting diapers from a Walmart hundreds of dollars worth of supplies out of his own pocket.
The latest man of the hour is officer Zack Stamper, who on got a call last Tuesday about a suspicious person lurking around Sweeny Park.
Stamper responded to the park, where he discovered Samuel Meixueiro resting on a bench.
The man explained to the officer he lost his home after falling on hard times and has been sleeping in a church.
In order to keep his job, he has to walk five-six hours from Kansas City to Mission and back every day.

Police said shortly after 8 a.m. Monday they received a call from a resident in the Hidden Lakes subdivision reporting that a monkey was eating mail out of a mailbox.

According to police, Zeek was distracted with a bottle of water until his owner came and retrieved him.

The hot headed motorist (pictured, left) was filmed wrangling for space with a man on a moped as the pair drove along Wawne Road in Bransholme, Hull. After coming together again as the biker tried to turn into a side street, the motorist can be seen roaring past him on the opposite lane, screeching to a halt inches before his moped. He then shouts through the window 'come on then', asking the man to fight. Bemused that his target seems to be unaware as to who he is, he then asks on several occasions: 'Do you know who I am?', to which the man responds 'Do I care?' He then says 'Ronnie Pickering' twice before exploding and shouting his name through his car window. Not fussed, the biker replies 'brilliant' before the pair continue their argument further down the road , all the while the driver's female passenger sits quiet in the front seat. Ronnie Pickering (right) has refused to comment on the coming together, but that hasn't stopped internet pranksters lapping up the bizarre exchange (inset).
