'I never want to be away from my family for that long': Natasha Hamilton reveals she struggled with being apart from Ritchie and kids during CBB stint

They were separated for almost a month when she appeared in Celebrity Big Brother, in which she eventually came third.

And Atomic Kitten star Natasha Hamilton, 33, has spoken for the first time about how difficult she found being away from her family - including boyfriend Ritchie Neville, 36 - in the CBB house.

In an interview with OK! magazine, the pop princess admitted she'll never leave her children - Josh, 13, Harry, ten, Alfie, four, from previous relationships and one-year-old daughter Ella Rose with Ritchie - for that long again.

She explained: ‘As much as I loved the experience, I never want to be away from my family for that long again. Family is what is important and yes I did it for us, but it was really hard.’

Speaking about the show's finale on Thursday night - in which The Apprentice star James Hill was crowned the eventual winner - the Liverpudlian star said she couldn't wait get her hands on her popstar beau.

She said: ‘The night of the final was a blur but as soon as I could I ran down to Ritchie and we had a massive snog in front of everyone in the room.’

Ritchie added: ‘I got a tweet from someone saying: ‘That was a bit full on for TV mate!’

Viewers of the Channel 5 show witnessed Natasha having quite a volatile time in the CBB house over the four weeks, with her coming to blows with US contestants Farrah Abraham and Jenna Jameson at various points during the show.

Ritchie - who found fame in the 90s with boyband Five - admitted he found it hard not being able to help his girlfriend at her lowest.

He revealed: ‘To not be able to pick up the phone to give her a pep talk or a cuddle was horrible and I felt totally helpless.’

But Natasha's spirits were lifted when she received a heartfelt letter from Ritchie - ironically read out by Jenna - which she admitted she slept with under her pillow every night.

She said: ‘It was so overwhelming. He’s such a beautiful writer and I just felt his love and pain all at the same time.'

Since the CBB finale was aired last week, it appears that the mother-of-four is relishing every moment of family time and recently posted a snap of the Hamilton clan enjoying little Ella's first birthday.

She wrote to her 142k followers on Sunday: 'What a beautiful day celebrating Ella's b'day, fam friends sunshine & fun. I made a choccy b'day cake too [sic]' alongside a thumbs-up emoji.
