'She's caught Bieber fever': Model claims pop star Justin Bieber thought she was faking a 'drink-spiking' episode to get his attention - as she prepares to tell all in TV interview

A model who claims she was drugged at a recording studio party hosted by Canadian pop star Justin Bieber says she got little sympathy from the singer who she overheard telling his entourage she had just caught 'Bieber Fever'.

In a Facebook post, which has since been deleted, model Bailey Scarlett, 18, said she felt light-headed and suffered ‘blurred vision’ after drinking a glass of vodka and lemonade at the party in Cremorne, in Melbourne's inner-city.

Scarlett, who was born in New Zealand and based in Melbourne, said the singer initially appeared to sympathise with her plight by comforting her as she 'was drifting in and out of consciousness' and telling her: 'Look into my eyes, you're okay... you're just having a panic attack'.

The 18-year-old claimed the hit-maker then told his crew she was faking it to get attention.

'The worst was when he came outside of the bathroom I had been put in, he began to have a go at me, claimed I had never been given drugs and had caught "Bieber Fever",' Scarlett wrote.

Her condition worsened and she claimed Bieber eventually called the police and the ambulance.

But Scarlett said she was told she could only leave via the back door, so she could avoid Bieber's fans who were eagerly waiting outside to catch a glimpse of their idol.

Ignoring the request, the 18-year-old walked out the front door but she collapsed on the footpath.

'I was lying unconscious convulsing on the pavement convulsing while Justin Bieber's little fans freaked out,' Scarlett said.

The 18-year-old was told by paramedics she had been drugged but there was 'nothing they could do as they [saw] this all the time when "famous" people [were] in Melbourne'.

She was taken to St Vincent's Hospital in nearby Fitzroy where she claims she was refused treatment and then again at Royal Melbourne Hospital.

In her lengthy post, Scarlett also said Bieber was 'the most uninspiring person I have probably met in my life'.

A Victoria Police spokeswoman confirmed officers had been called to a Jessie Street address in Cremorne on Sunday at 11pm.

'A woman told police she believed her drink had been spiked and she conveyed to hospital for medical treatment and was advised to make an official complaint,' the spokeswoman said.

'At this time police have not received an official complaint.'

Ginger Studios producer Jimi Wyatt told TMZ video footage from the night in question does not show Scarlett's drink had been tampered with during her appearance at the party.

Since the incident, the model has deleted the posts she made on Facebook - following a backlash from disbelieving fans of Bieber, who will perform three Australian shows in total - including his Bieber Island gig in Sydney on Wednesday evening.

Daily Mail Australia have contacted Scarlett and Bieber's representatives for further comment.

It has also been announced the model will be appearing exclusively on Tuesday night's A Current Affair.

On Sunday, the singer took to Snapchat to rant about fans screaming for selfies before schooling them on the best way to approach him.

His voice can be heard saying: 'The way you ask or approach me when you want a photo with me is going determine if I take a photo or not.

'If I'm walking somewhere or arriving somewhere and you guys are asking me to take a photo, if I don't respond, if I continue to keep walking, the likelihood is that I probably don't want to take a photo at that moment.

'If you start screaming louder that's not going to make me take a photo more.'

The What Do You Mean singer recorded the clips while in the back-seat of the car driving him around Melbourne, with the camera taking in the scenery outside the window.

'I want to enjoy the moment like you're enjoying the moment but I can't enjoy it if I'm not feeling there's any respect given to me that moment,' the singer continued.

'Usually the chances are I'll take a photo but if perhaps I don't, or I'm not in the mood to take a photo that moment, please just respect me and just treat me the way you want to be treated.'
