'In school I learned to believe in myself': Charlize Theron shares sweet throwback snap in support of Let Girls Learn campaign
Today she's Hollywood royalty. But Charlize Theron would never have found fame without the confidence she learnt at school.
The 40-year-old took to Twitter to share a heartwarming throwback photo on Monday, which called attention to the Let Girls Learn campaign.
She shared the adorable shot after appearing on the Today show in New York City to discuss her efforts to eradicate AIDS as well as at the Social Good Summit for the same cause.

A young Charlize could be seen in the photo, giving a thumbs up and the okay gesture as she smiled, while standing in a field.
She captioned the photo: 'In school I learned to ALWAYS believe in myself #62MillionGirls don’t have that chance. http://62milliongirls.com.'
The campaign, started by President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama, seeks to help the more than 62 million girls around the world who are not in school go to and stay in school.
In addition to calling attention to the cause with her photo, Charlize will be joining the First Lady at a panel on Tuesday, held in honor of the program.
The Power of an Educated Girl, moderated by Glamour Editor-in-Chief Cindi Leive, will also feature former Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard and student advocate Nurfahada, and will be held at the Apollo Theater.
Charlize took to her Twitter account on Monday to share her enthusiasm for the upcoming panel, as well as to advise her followers to submit questions for the event.

That same day the charitable star had appeared on the Today show to discuss her program Africa Outreach Project, and how growing up in South Africa impacted her desire to eradicate AIDS.
The mother-of-two also attended the Social Good Summit, where she appeared alongside Nelson Mandela's grandson Kweku Mandela and actress Freida Pinto to discuss the disease.
She touted the 'Gen End It' hashtag during the panel, sharing that this generation can end HIV and AIDS by being relentless on social media.
