Chris Hemsworth shows off rippling muscles as he goes shirtless in Age of Ultron deleted scene

The Avengers: Age of Ultron fans have been treated to a special peek under Thor's armor.

The 32-year-old Australian hunk shows off his impressive rippling muscles as he emerges dripping in water from a cave pond in previously unseen footage.

For some inexplicable reason, the two-minute scene was deleted from the movie release, but is thankfully featured on the film’s Blu-ray and DVD, which hits stores on October 2.

Chris - who plays Thor in the Marvel superhero film -  is seen showing off his sizable biceps and pecs alongside Stellan Skarsgard's Dr Erik Selvig.

The easy-on-the-eye star's blonde hair is half tied back and soaking wet in the melodramatic exchange in which he cedes control of his body to the Norns of Norse legend.

He was nominated for 'best shirtless performance' in the 2014 MTV Movie Awards - before losing out to Zac Efron - and perhaps the deletion of this scene cost him the notable accolade. 

Chris is also set to return as the character in Thor: Ragnarok - the sequel to 2013's The Dark World - due for release on November 3 2017.

They will be hoping to repeat the success of Thor: The Dark World, which earned $206.4 million in North America and $438.4 million in other markets for a worldwide total of $644.8 million.

Deadline.com calculated the net profit of the film to be $139.4 million, when factoring together all expenses and revenues for the film

He's married to Furious 7 star Elsa Pataky, 39, whom he met and walked up the aisle with in 2010. 

They have three children together - three-year-old daughter India Rose and one-year-old twin sons, Tristan and Sasha.
