It's not just Milkshake! Pregnant Kelis shows off growing bump in T-shirt and jeans as she promotes new recipe book

She'll forever be known for her hit Milkshake.

But there's a lot more to Kelis than that - as the hit-maker showed while promoting her new cookbook, My Life on a Plate: Recipes From Around the World on Monday.

The pregnant 36-year-old dressed casually in loose denim jeans and black top, and accessorized her look with a few dainty necklaces and gold hoop earrings.

The Acapella singer added a few clunky bracelets and anklet which she finished off with black flats. 

Kelis left her wavy mane flow past her shoulders but swept her bangs off her face to highlight her face.

Kelis spoke about finding the balance between being an artist and chef during a recent BBC appearance where she admitted picking up cooking as a release when she was struggling to focus on music.

'I mean I'm still performing, you know, I think it's just the fact that I'm at the point where I've been, gosh it's been over 15 years now that I've been performing and singing,' she explained.

'So now this is just like another outlet for me and something else I can do an enjoy.'

Kelis, who already has six-year-old son Knight from her relationship with rapper Nas is pregnant with her second child.

And while the father of the child remains unknown an insider has revealed to E! how the singer is doing.

'She is really excited about her pregnancy,' the insider source stated. 'She has a great support system from her family and friends. She is in really amazing spirits.'
