Chris Brown wins joint custody of daughter Royalty despite positive drug test and agrees to pay $2,500 a month in child support

Chris Brown has finally reached an agreement with Nia Guzman over their one-year-old daughter Royalty.

The legal battle between the two has been resolved with each agreeing to joint physical and legal custody of the little girl, TMZ reported Monday.

As part of the settlement the R&B singer, 26, will have her 12 days a month and pay Guzman $2,500 a month.

Although Guzman had previously requested a court to order that her daughter's visits with her father should be supervised, that will not be required.

Even though a court ordered drug test Brown was required to submit to as part of the custody hearing came back positive for weed and codeine, according to TMZ, the singer had prescriptions for both.

In addition to the monthly payments, the Loyal hitmaker will be financially responsible for paying for the child's schooling, nannies, health insurance and medical bills.

The court has ruled that the tot's legal name will be Royalty Brown.

Brown is clearly happy with the outcome, tweeting Monday: 'Court went great today. Glad this all worked out.'

Guzman, too, took to social media, posting a photo of herself with her attorneys outside the courthouse.

'Sending my thank you to my legal team,' she captioned the picture posted on Instagram. 'I'm so happy with OUR outcome today!'

The settlement is subject to a judge's final approval.
