So it wasn't love at first sight? Jessa Duggar's husband Ben Seewald fails vital question while playing the Newlywed Game

Surely every new bride hopes her groom fell in love with her at first sight.

At least, that's what Jessa Duggar believed of her husband Ben Seewald.

But the truth came out when the young couple played a version of the Newlywed Game during their gig at the Southern Women's Show in Orlando, Florida, on Saturday.

The question to 19-year-old Ben was: When did you know  that you had fallen in love with Jessa?

The 22-year-old reckoned she had him at hello, telling the host: 'Well, I think he says from the time he first met me.'

In fact, it took Ben much longer to fall for her. He wrote on his white board: 'A few months in' with a heart.

But the diplomatic teen tried to sugar coat it, saying: 'It was definitely attraction at first sight.

'I needed to get to know her a bit better, but the thing is, as soon as I got to know her, the more I liked her. So it was quite a few months in but definitely I was, like, I wanted to get to know her until, ya know, I was sure.'

The 19 Kids And Counting star immediately back-pedalled on her answer and sprang to her beau's defence, saying that he came to visit her at church, which was a three-hour drive from his home, adding: 'Then we'd hang out Sunday afternoons and talk.

'As our friendship grew, man, I was like, wow this guy's amazing.'

Ben then got quite romantic about their meeting, revealing: 'I definitely remember the first time she walked into the room. I was in church or something, and I turned around.

'I felt like there was this light, the door opened and she came gliding in, holding her little sister's hand.

'I was, like, "I think an angel just walked in the room." But I really wanted to talk to her and get to know her better and see what she was really like, her personality and everything. And when I did I was, like, she's really awesome.'

The couple married last November and are now expecting their first child.

Meanwhile, Jessa and Ben will be working with her sister Jill and husband Derrick Dillard and their five-month-old baby Israel for two to three new TLC shows.

Brother Josh - who Jessa and Jill said molested them when they were children - will not be featured in the programs.

'What we will be following in these specials is Jessa preparing for her first child and we'll be watching Jill preparing to make a major move to Central America with her family, which we know is something our audience will be interested in,' said TLC executive VP and general manager Nancy Daniels.

The project, Nancy said, came together quickly 'after talking with the girls and understanding that this was something they wanted to do.

'We know that our audience is really excited about what's been going on with Jill and Jessa as they move into young adulthood,' she added.
