He might be one of the world's coolest rock stars to but to his son, he's just a regular dad.

Red Hot Chili Peppers frontman Anthony Kiedis, 52, was spotted enjoying some downtime with his seven-year-old son Everly Bear Malibu on Saturday.

The Michigan-born rocker looked in his element as he went about his day with his cool son, the duo in similarly funky outfits.

The Californication hitmaker oozed stylish nonchalance in a white, sleeveless vest, his multiple tattoos visible as he walked side-by-side with cute Everly.

He teamed his arms-baring top with a pair of black board shorts, pool sliders and a pair of mirrored sunglasses.

Anthony's adorable son - his only child from a four-year relationship with model Heather Christie, 29 - channelled a hippie vibe in a tie-dye T-shirt, worn with sky blue shorts and flip-flops.

Clearly following in his fathers' footsteps, the boy sported a long ponytail and innate sense of cool.

Later seen on a buggy together, the little one was not too old to sit on his father's lap, Anthony's arms wrapped protectively around his son.

Meanwhile, the father/son duo recently landed a spot in Marc Jacobs' star-studded AW15 fashion campaign.

In the photo, which was shot by photographer David Sims, the Grammy-award winner bares his chest as he models a rose-patterned blazer while his son is posed sitting on his lap with his arm thrown across his shoulder.

Everly - who's named after the 1950s band, The Everly Brothers - donned an oversize olive green T-shirt and slim fitting trousers.

His long golden hair flowed past his shoulders, while his feet are were bare. His ensemble was topped with a red and blue cap that matched his father's blazer.

'Red Hot Chili Pepper, lead singer, co-songwriter, great father!' designer Marc Jacobs captioned the image, which he revealed on Instagram.

'Here is Anthony Kiedis and his son Everly Bear. Thanks guys for joining us in our Fall campaign. You're both hot and cool as can be!! @chilipeppers,' he added.

The father-of-one is rumoured to be single again after reportedly splitting from his 22-year-old model beau, Wanessa Milhomem.
