'He was burned alive': Paul Walker's daughter Meadow files wrongful death lawsuit against Porsche claiming he was killed due to design flaws in sports car

Paul Walker was still alive when the Porsche he was a passenger in caught fire after the horrific crash that took his life, according to a lawsuit filed by his daughter Meadow.

The 16-year-old, whose father died in 2013, has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Porsche claiming that the 2005 Carrera GT Walker was riding in had specific design flaws that contributed to his untimely demise.

The lawsuit claims that the Fast & Furious star was not killed on impact after the driver of the vehicle hit a concrete lamppost and two trees but was in fact alive when the sports car caught fire, reports TMZ.

Lawyers representing Meadow claim that when the Carrera GT crashed, Walker's seat belt 'snapped Walker's torso back with thousands of pounds of force, thereby breaking his ribs and pelvis,'

The suit then claims the actor was trapped in the car when nearly a minute and a half later the Porsche caught fire while he was still alive.

The lawsuit further alleges: 'Paul Walker breathed soot into his trachea while the Porsche Carrera GT burned.'

While law enforcement at the time gauged the speed Roger Rodas, who owned the Porsche, was driving at to be between 80 and 93 MPH, the lawsuit claims the vehicle was traveling between 63 and 71 MPH.

The suit alleges that Porsche has been aware of their Carrera GT having 'a history of instability and control issues,' according to documents obtained by TMZ.

Lawyers for Meadow also claim that that Porsche could have easily solved the problem by installing a stability management system, which is standard for other models made by Porsche.

The lawsuit further alleges that the placement of fuel lines in the car contributed to the fire that erupted and which Meadow's legal representatives claim ultimately took Walker's life.

Jeff Milam, an attorney representing Meadow, told TMZ, 'The bottom line is that the Porsche Carrera GT is a dangerous car. It doesn't belong on the street. And we shouldn't be without Paul Walker or his friend, Roger Rodas.'

Meanwhile, Meadow has started a charitable foundation in his name.

The teen launched The Paul Walker Foundation earlier this month, on what would have been her father's 42nd birthday.

As the website went live she paid tribute to her actor father with an impassioned tweet, accompanied by a picture of her with her father as a child.

'I am tremendously proud to be launching The Paul Walker Foundation (on his birthday,' she wrote.

'I can't think of a better way to celebrate my father.' She tagged her message 'Do Good'.

The foundation will give scholarships to teens passionate about the ocean, and will work in collaboration with the world-renowned Monterey Bay Aquarium.

Fast And The Furious star Walker was passionate about sea life, explained Meadow.

'Reflecting on my father, I found myself reflecting on his passions,' she wrote.

'His passion for the ocean, his passion for rescuing animals, his passion for helping people and his passion for spontaneous goodwill.

'I wanted to start this foundation because I want to share that piece of him with the world. I want to share that part of him with others.'

Walker studied marine biology at college before turning to acting.

A statement on the foundation's website explained: 'His passion was the ocean. He spent most of his free time in the ocean.'

After finding fame as an actor, Walker continued to indulge his interest in the ocean.

Indeed just a week before his tragic death in a car accident in 2013 Walker filmed a TV show about sharks.
