Web of terror! Fear The Walking Dead confirmed to receive its own online spin-off about zombies aboard Flight 462
Fans of The Walking Dead have already been treated to a double dose post-apocalyptic action this autumn thanks to AMC's prequel series, Fear The Walking Dead.
And it has now been confirmed the spin-off zombie show will be receiving its very own spin-off in the form of an online miniseries dubbed, Fear The Walking Dead: Flight 462.
This will take the form of 16 one-minute episodes following an unlucky group of passengers who have boarded a commercial flight just as the 'Walkers' make an unwelcome appearance.

Another spin-off: Fear The Walking Dead, starring Kim Dickens (pictured), has been given its own accompanying web miniseries, Fear The Walking Dead: Flight 462
It has also been announced that at least one character introduced in Fear The Walking Dead: Flight 462 will make a crossover appearance on the second season of the main spin-off, giving fans an incentive to catch the web series.
The online series will premiere on AMC.com on October 4 after the season one finale of Fear The Walking Dead, and will also be televised during the ad breaks of The Walking Dead season 6, which resumes on October 11.
Producers are hoping to capitalise on the smash success of the franchise, which has proved hugely lucrative for AMC.

The Walking Dead was the fourth most watched cable series of the 2014-2015 season, drawing a total of 19.9million viewers, while Fear The Walking Dead was the most watched series premiere of the year.
It was first claimed byVariety last month that AMC were planning a stand-alone complementary series focusing on a group of people trapped on a passenger jet mid-flight with a flesh-eating Walker.
The proposed webisodes will be set during the same time period as Fear The Walking Dead and it is presumed the plane will be en route to Los Angeles where that series is set.
