Jim Carrey's ex-girlfriend Cathriona White, 28, has committed suicide. Law enforcement sources told TMZ that they were called to the Irish-born make-up artist's home in Los Angeles Monday night where they found her body. It's believed that she died of a drug overdose. The gossip site reports that White left behind a suicide note, mentioning that she had broken up with Carrey for a second time on September 24. That's the same day that she posted a troubling message on Twitter (right inset), saying: 'Signing off Twitter, I hope I have been a light to my nearest and dearest.' The couple first started dating in 2012, but broke up in March 2013. They rekindled their romance in May though, when they were seen out and about holding hands in New York (center and right). White pictured on the left in a photo posted to Instagram in April.

The leather-bound album containing 240 photos - four of which are of Maharaja Duleep Singh (left) - was discovered by a house clearer who had won a contract to clear out a property. It was taken to an auctioneers in Rochester, Kent, along with three other albums containing more photos (top and bottom right), where it was expected to make about £1,000, but sold for 22 times that. Duleep Singh was exiled to Britain at the age of 15 after his four predecessors were all assassinated and he developed an unlikely friendship with Queen Victoria. He was invited by her to Osborne House on the Isle of Wight where the photograph was taken by Prince Albert.
