Man, 58, 'tied up autistic boy, 15, and shocked him with jumper cables attached to his ears to find out who stole his wallet'
- Robert McDowell, 58, is said to have approached teen in Wichita, Kansas
- Allegedly put a gun to his back then led him into a nearby garage
- Police say he then tied youngster to a trailer hitch and attached the cables
- As he shocked the boy he supposedly bombarded him with questions
- McDowell's wallet was stolen and he believed boy knew the culprit
A 58-year-old man has been arrested after police say he attached jumper cables to the ears of a 15-year-old boy to get information about a robbery.
Robert McDowell is accused of approaching the teen - who is autistic - and 'putting what the victim said was a handgun in the middle of his back during in Wichita, Kansas
Wichita police Lt. James Espinoza says the suspect took the teen to a garage, tied him to a trailer hitch, then attached jumper cables to his ears and shocked him repeatedly while asking him who had stolen his wallet.

Police say the man's wallet had been stolen and he believed the teen knew who was responsible.
The suspect eventually released the boy, who ran home and told his father what happened. He was taken to a hospital.
The man faces charges of aggravated battery and kidnapping.
The 15-year-old’s sister, who wanted to remain anonymous told KSN, she was furious with what happened, and now hopes her brother gets the justice he deserves.
She said: 'That’s just, that’s just wrong. A 15-year-old autistic boy.
'As far as my mother, she feels protected now that he’s locked up, but she is a little worried that he might get out on bond and stuff.
'We want justice to be serviced and also justice from the man upstairs when the time comes.
'You can’t do anything. You feel discriminated from all the stuff he was saying. Just helpless and really really enraged is I guess all I can say.
The boy was taken to hospital but was not seriously injured. However his sister says the bruises on his ear are taking a long time to heal.
