'A grand welcome!' Willow Smith, 14, signs with Kendall Jenner's modelling agency

Forget long lean legs and gazelle like figure - it seems that to be a successful model nowadays all you need is a famous last name.

The Society Management modelling agency that counts Kendall Jenner, Adriana Lima and Toni Garrn among its roster announced on Tuesday that it had signed 14-year-old Willow Smith.

In an Instagram post the agency wrote: 'A grand welcome to Willow Smith'

The post was tagged 'Now representing.'

The daughter of Hollywood superstar Will Smith, 47, and actress Jada Pinkett Smith, 44, Willow has already appeared on the cover of i-D magazine and in the recent Icons issue of Harper's Bazaar as the Hindu goddess Kali.

Earlier this year the teen singer - who hit the charts with Whip Your Hair - was also announced as the newest face in a major campaign by fashion designer Marc Jacobs.

Willow is just the latest teen from a famous family to join the modelling ranks.

She follows in the footsteps of Lily-Rose Depp who is the daughter of Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis; Kaia Gerber, the daughter of supermodel Cindy Crawford and Anwar Hadid, the 16-year-old younger brother of model sisters Gigi and Bella.

Willow also has kept her music career moving forward.

She shed tears in her new video Why Don't You Cry released earlier this month.

The teen talent came up with the concept and visuals for the new song, according to the video's caption on YouTube.

The video was made in collaboration with i-D magazine, which also featured Willow on its cover.

The coming-of-age video showed Willow sparring with her parents portrayed by actors bearing a strong resemblance to Will and Jada.

The video also featured Willow's older 22-year-old brother Trey Smith from her father's first marriage.

Willow also has an older brother Jaden, 17, who was featured on her last single titled 5.
