Scarpinati, 38, a human resources manager from Athens, New York, tried for 20 years to identify the woman with no luck. Earlier this month, she finally had her answer: Susan Berger. Together again almost four decades later, Scarpinati and Berger sobbed and embraced as cameras clicked around them at the medical center's conference room on Monday, pictured left and inset.

One father touched the hearts of his family - and strangers across the internet - when he halted his daughter's wedding to invite her stepdad to help him walk her down the aisle. He paused the ceremony to grab Brittany's stepfather, Todd Cendrosky (left picture, left), to join him and their daughter in the very special moment. Though the two didn't always get along in the past, Mr. Bachman decided to put his daughter's happiness first. Brittany had been worrying about who should give her away on her wedding day, and Mr. Cendrosky said that being able to take part made the wedding one of the best days in his life.

A Minnesota woman is outraged after she received a dinner bill when she cancelled on her friend's wedding the day of the ceremony. Jessica Baker (above) of Golden Valley was getting ready for her friend's big day when she received a call from her mother that she could no longer watch her children, who were not allowed at the ceremony or reception. Then, a few weeks later, Baker received a bill for $75 (inset) asking her to cover the cost of her and her husband's meals.

The parents of three young children are dealing with a horrifying tragedy as they were all killed after an alleged drunk driver hit a car being driven by their grandmother. Daniel Neville-Lake, 9, his brother Harrison, 5, and sister Milly, 2, (right with their parents) along with their grandfather - who has not yet been named - were killed when the car their grandmother was driving was hit by Marco Muzzo (left) in Vaughan, Ontario. Harrison and Milly passed away at the hospital while holding hands as their grandmother sang to them from her phone. She had been pinned in the car (back van inset)and screaming the names of the children and her husband when officials arrived on the scene - unaware that her husband was dead.

The wife of a youth pastor has been arrested after starting a relationship with an underage boy. Ariel Stevenson (right), 25, of Franklin, Tennessee has been charged with statutory rape and sexual exploitation of a minor after she began a relationship with a 17-year-old boy. She met the teenager through her husband Jeremy (left), who is the boy's youth pastor at Franklin Christian Church.

Make-up artist Cathriona White, 28, (pictured, left, with Carrey) was found dead on Monday just days after breaking up with the comedian for a second time. In an e-mail to a family friend, her mother Brigid spoke of her heartbreak, saying: 'My Cathriona is dead. My Cathriona is dead. Can you believe it? What am I going to do?' Lakewood High School were playing Millikan High School on Friday night in Long Beach, LA, when a Millikan student appeared to kick Lakewood's Victor Bates in the face, after the whistle was blown. After the match, the parents of a Lakewood player allegedly shoved passed security and attacked four Millikan players, hitting two in the face and grabbing another two by the neck, according to a statement on the Millikan High School Facebook page.

A woman who apparently hid her pregnancy from her boyfriend, gave birth in his New York City home and then tossed her newborn daughter out a seventh-story window to her death was arrested Tuesday on murder and manslaughter charges, police said. Police officers said they found Jennifer Berry's infant daughter with her umbilical cord still attached in a courtyard of her boyfriend's Bronx apartment building on Monday afternoon. They had responded to the building after receiving a call that an infant had fallen from a window. An autopsy revealed the infant died of blunt force injuries, chief medical examiner Dr. Barbara Sampson said Tuesday. The baby's death was ruled a homicide, meaning she had been born alive.

At first, the 35-year-old thought nothing of the lump and assumed she had a bout of gastro. But in fact she had contracted a flesh-eating bacterial infection.

Oxygen masks dangle from the ceiling, debris litters the aisles and parts of the floor are completely ripped up. These new pictures show inside the cabin of an Air Canada plane that crash-landed on the Halifax Stanfield International Airport's runway (pictured inset) earlier this year. The Airbus 320 crashed into a power line on landing and then skidded off the runway in March - sending 25 people to the hospital with injuries. The Transportation Safety Board, who released the images of the interior, attribute the damage to the floor punctures from 'aircraft structure' (right). The flight was headed to Halifax, Nova Scotia, from Toronto on March 29 when it touched down 1,100 feet (335 meters) short of the runway during a snowstorm at around 12.30am local time.

Hidden in the heart of the Myanmar jungle is an enchanting wonderland of crumbling temples, Shwe Inn Thein - only accessible to the outside world by a tiny canal. On many of the decaying stupas, plants can be seen pushing their way through the stone cracks. There is believed to be around a thousand temples in the area with those deepest in the jungle lying unknown, even to locals.

Dutch photographer Jan Stel spent 15 years travelling Europe to capture images of abandoned buildings for a new exhibition. Jan, from Purmerend, Netherlands, said: 'Abandoned locations have something magical: a hidden world left by men, but still full of life and history. 'It is about Mother Earth taking back what once belonged to her.'

French divers Alex Voyer and Alex Roubaud have taken an incredible selection of photos with underwater wildlife around the world over the last ten years. They include swimming with dozens of Dolphins in Red Sea (main), coming face-to-face with sharks and remarkable close-ups with whales (inset). Mr Roubaud says freediving allows them to see the world in a different way than that of a scuba diver, adding: 'We are trying to move anywhere around the world to meet wonderful sea creatures which fascinated us!'

Jordan Oram, a cinematographer from Toronto, enlisted the help of eight strangers to create the Kiss Me Now, Meet Me Later video, where volunteers were made to don blindfolds before splitting off into four couples to meet, and kiss, for the first time.
