It's been just over a year since Peaches Geldof died aged just 25.

And in the months since, the late star's husband Thomas Cohen has sought comfort with her close-knit family

The 25-year-old is currently with the Geldof clan in the south of France, where Peaches’ father Sir Bob married his long-term partner Jeanne Marine last week.

He was seen hugging his wife’s half-sister Tiger Lily Hutchence Geldof, 19, as the pair relaxed on the beach in the sunshine.

They spent the afternoon lying on the sands and listening to music, Thomas wearing red print swimming trunks and Tiger Lily in a lilac bikini.

The pair were joined by Tiger Lily’s sisters Fifi, 31 and Pixie, 24, and her new boyfriend British student Charlie Creseatian.

Peaches and Thomas’s sons Astala, three, and two-year-old Phaedra are also with the party.

A source close to the Geldof family told The Mirror, that Tiger Lily and Thomas were ‘like brother and sister’ and had found comfort in their friendship.

'Tiger Lily and Tom have become great mates and both keep an eye out for each other, as do the rest of Peaches' family,' the family friend told the newspaper.

'They're a very tactile family and emotions have been running high as Bob has got remarried, which has been such a wonderful and poignant occasion.'

Peaches – daughter of Miss Yates and Sir Bob – died of heroin overdose at her home in Wrotham, Kent, in April last year. Her young son Phaedra was with her.

The TV presenter had struggled with drug abuse earlier in her life but had been clean for some years before relapsing in February 2013.

Thomas and his sons moved in with his parents, who live in east London, and is understood to be very close to the Geldofs.

The family has been blighted by tragedy.

Sir Bob’s former wife – and Peaches and Tiger Lily’s mother – Paula Yates died of a heroin overdose in 2000.

Three years earlier, Tiger Lily’s father Michael Hutchence died of a drugs overdose in a Sydney hotel room.

Sir Bob was eventually awarded custody of Tiger Lily - full name Heavenly Hiraani Tiger Lily - and she has been brought up in London alongside his older girls.

The musician has described how he goes ‘over and over’ his daughter’s death, wondering if he could have saved her.

Speaking on ITV, the rocker confessed: 'You blame yourself. You're the father who is responsible and clearly failed.

'You go back, you go over, you go over. What could you have done? You do as much as you can.'
