Baring it all! Tyra Banks and Chrissy Teigen take off all their make-up and proudly show off cosmetics-free faces during the supermodel's new daytime talk show

  • Tyra, 41, and Chrissy, 29, both used make-up wipes to take off their cosmetics
  • They were joined by co-hosts Leah Ashley, a DIY Youtube star, and Lauren Makk, an interior designer

As one of the biggest supermodels ever, Tyra Banks is a true beauty - but she is also the last person to say ‘I woke up like this’ when she's looking her best.

And to prove it, the 41-year-old wiped off every last stitch of make-up on her new daytime talk show, Tyra Presents: FABLife to show what she actually looks like when she wakes up - and invited her co-hosts Chrissy Teigen, DIY Youtube star Leah Ashley, and interior designer Lauren Makk to join her.

Make-up remover wipes in hand, the four ladies all cleaned their faces in front of a live studio audience, revealing what they really look like before they put their faces on.

The stunt was part of a segment on the new show that spotlighted all things nude, including, in this case, nude faces - and Tyra went on to share 'tricks of my no make-up made-up look'.

But while going bare-faced on national television may be a new tactic for the star, this certainly wasn't the first time she flaunted her natural look for fans.

Tyra has shared make-up-free selfies on Instagram in the past, including one in June that she captioned: 'You know how people say #nofilter but you know there's a freakin' filter on their pic? Or maybe there's a smidge of retouching going on but they're lying and saying it's all raw & real? Well, this morn, I decided to give you a taste of the really real me.

'I wanted to smooth out my dark circles so badly!!! But I was like, "Naw, Ty. Show 'em the REAL you." So...here I am. Raw. And there YOU are...looking at me, studying this picture. Maybe you're thinking, "Whoa, she looks ROUGH." And if you are, great! You deserve to see the REAL me. The REALLY real me. [sic]'

And while it might be tempting for viewers to say that it must be easy for someone like Tyra to go without make-up - she's appeared on countless magazine covers and in plenty of fashion and beauty campaigns, after all - the talk show host has admitted that she actually feels more comfortable with a little something on her face.

'Without makeup, I would have never been a supermodel,' she told People. 'I don’t wake up with naturally sculpted cheekbones - I paint them on!'

In fact, taking her own make-up off on TV was a way to show the world that even she doesn't wake up looking flawless - so other women who don't look naturally perfect either shouldn't feel bad about themselves.

'For me, I feel like natural beauty is so beyond unfair and we as women, we herald it, like "Oh she’s a natural beauty!"' she told StyleBlazer. 'I hear my friends saying it. I see it all over the Internet. But it’s kind of a disservice to say that because what did that woman do to create that natural beauty but be born and have the luck of the lottery.'

She went on: 'And I notice with myself I don’t wake up looking like a supermodel. I did rehearsals today and look like a totally different person. And I know that and understand the power of that so I feel like makeup is a beauty equalizer.'

Chrissy has also shared photos online for #NoMakeupMonday in the past, but the 29-year-old star is very open about how she maintains her glowing skin even without foundation and bronzer.

Taking care of business: The 29-year-old said she has dry skin, so 'anything that gets me moisture' is great

'I am crazy about skincare,' she told The New Potato last year. 'I have about eight different creams, gels and serums that my esthetician set me up with. I had her write down the exact order and when to use them, which I have to read every morning.'

According to an interview with Refinery29, her laundry list of go-to products includes the $95 Resurface by Shani Darden Retinol Reform, SK-II's $135 Facial Treatment Mask, and one of Natura Bissé's moistruizing masks, which retail for $40-90.

'I’m very dry all the time, so anything that gets me moisture, I’m happy with,' she said. 'I like having glowing, fresh skin.'
