'I always forget to breathe': Justin Bieber struggles to juggle dancing and singing on The X Factor Australia... as his performance receives mixed reviews on social media

After much anticipation, Justin Bieber finally took to the stage to perform his hit single What Do You Mean? on Tuesday night's episode of The X Factor Australia

But the 21-year-old's performance left fans conflicted, with many claiming they were not impressed by his lackluster rendition of the track.

Joking about the fact he was out of breath following his performance, the singer admitted: 'I always forget to breathe, I'm always so busy doing the moves and I never breathe.'

Despite mixed reviews of the performance, the excitement in the studio was palpable as Justin took to the stage, with fans in the audience screaming their approval. They could even be heard singing along with the popstar throughout the song.

Justin covered up his newly blonde locks with a backwards netted black hat and completed the ensemble with white trainers.

Showcasing his fancy footwork with the help of a host of dancers, the star worked the stage as he sang his number one track, before performing a one-on-one dance with a female dancer.

One Twitter user added: 'That was thoroughly boring. The time Telstra brought @MsRebeccaBlack to perform was more entertaining. All that hype for nothing'.

Another viewer commented: 'Either Bieber is lip syncing or he is lazy and made no attempt to enhance his performance. The voice sounds really horrible.'

Justin has had a busy schedule with three concerts in Sydney and Melbourne planned.
