She was once famed for her enviable charms 

But Scarlett Johansson showcased her now slender and athletic physique as she went for a run in New York on Monday.

Of course now she plays the Black Widow, a member of a crack superhero team in The Avengers, it is perhaps understandable she lacks the generously sized bust that made her a household name back in the 2000s.

The 30-year-old looked in fine form in a grey Adidas Yankees vest, knee-length leggings and Under Armour sneakers.

She rounded off her look with a subtle nod to her on-screen assassin character with a black baseball cap that was emblazoned with the words, 'widow's bite.'

As admirable as her look was though, it was a far cry for her thrilling cleavage baring appearance at the 2006 Golden Globes, where she wore a simply delightful red Valentino dress that won her a whole new army of male fans.

It has been just over one year since Scarlett announced the birth of her daughter Rose, and she will celebrate her first wedding anniversary with French charmer Romain Dauriac this week.

The couple are now living in Paris, Romain’s home city, but the blonde has been enjoying some time in New York after flying in for an interview with Stephen Colbert earlier this month. 

'There's not a day that goes by that I don't walk down the street and go, “Wow, this is such an incredibly beautiful place,”' Scarlett gushed of her new home during her sit-down with the talk show host.

And while she is learning French, she joked that she will only argue with her advertising executive husband in English.

'When you're in a relationship with somebody you want to speak whatever language is easiest to get your ideas out as quickly as possible - so you can argue your point,' Scarlett explained.
