'Bring us back!': Tony Dovolani begs Dancing With The Stars to allow Kim Zolciak to waltz with him once again after she was axed from show 

Kim Zolciak had no idea she was going to get axed from Dancing With The Stars, after she was unable to perform due to being ruled medically unfit.

According to TMZ, the reality star was asked to Skype into the show on Monday night but was not given a heads up she was facing the chop from the competition. It was when she was on air, the former Real Housewife was told she was going to be eliminated after her mini-stroke meant she was unable to perform that night.

Soon after her partner Tony Dovolani was begging the show to allow them to waltz again. 'Bring us back,' the 42-year-old Albanian said in a tweet.

'I want to continue so bad it's not even funny,' Tony told UsWeekly.

'That's why I put a tweet out there saying, "Bring us back!" The producers want us back, I want to be back, Kim wants to be back — so the only people they needed to convince was the lawyers.' 

And the longtime ABC vet was behind Kim 100 percent.

'She did the right thing,' he said.

'It's her health and she's got six kids and her husband to think about. I'm really happy for her that she's taking care of herself, but I'm sad to be out of the competition. She was showing signs of improvement!"

Sources told TMZ Zolciak was 'blindsided' by the decision - Kim was only told she needed to Skype in during the show to provide an update on her health.

Due to the show's rules, if a dancer cannot take part for any reason in the dances, they can no longer stay in the competition.

Kim told the program: ‘I’m really sad,’ after lawyers decided she was medically unfit to participate.

The mother suffered a mini-stroke last week – but said she felt healthy enough to continue the competition.

‘I feel great… I’ve been rehearsing… but my doctor told me it was too soon to fly,’ complained the reality star – calling in from her home in Atlanta, Georgia.

‘I have been rehearsing all week,’ added the wig-loving 37-year-old, who is married to NFL star Kroy Biermann, 30.

The former Real Housewife was struck down after a blood clot caused the small stroke – but she assumed she’d be able to return to the competition.

She said tearfully: ‘I love it.'

‘I’m really sad,’ she added after she was forced to forfeit the contest entirely.

Dovolani asked the host Tom Bergeron if the rules could be 'bent'.

‘I think you’d have to talk to our legal team… the producers did, and they basically said that the rules are the rules,’ said the host, 60.

The revelation was part of 'TV night' – where each dance is themed to a popular show from the goggle box. Alfonso Ribeiro, aka Carlton from The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, was guest judge along with some of The Muppets.

Earlier on Monday Kim took to Instagram showing herself rehearsing for the program.  

'I practiced for hours Saturday I was so excited to be there tonight! I just needed a few more days and then I'm cleared to fly! #ImReallySad #ImStrong,' she captioned the image.

The star was hospitalized in Atlanta where she underwent a heart procedure following a mini-stroke on Wednesday.

She was released from the medical center since but was told to take things easy and doctors advised her not to travel.

While Kim's more than one million Instagram followers wish her well, some may not be so sure the health scare is real.

She has been known to fake illnesses in the past as she has on her hit Bravo show, The Real Housewives Of Atlanta where she claimed she had cancer.

During her time as an Atlanta housewife, Kim explained that she wore wigs all the time because of cancer, a claim that some of the other housewives doubted, as reported by the Inquisitr.

At the reunion show, when Bravo's host Andy Cohen asked Kim whether she actually had cancer, Kim tearfully said that doctors were 90 per cent sure she had cancer.

Andy tried confirming the story in which she then recalled getting back her test results which concluded she did not, in fact, have cancer.

He asked her: 'So you didn’t have cancer?'

'No I did not, thank God,' she replied as she held back tears.
