Sam Smith teases a clip of the official Writing's On The Wall video for his new James Bond theme
Not only was Sam Smith selected as the voice behind this year's James Bond theme song, but he will also get to enjoy his own 007 moment, unlike predecessor Adele.
The 23-year-old British singer teased a clip from the official video for Writing's On The Wall on Wednesday; hinting that he has been suited up to feature.
The 16-second snapshot proves that No1 selling artist Sam has chosen to appear on camera, while notoriously private Skyfall singer Adele used a sequence of clips from the last film instead of being filmed signing the titular song.

Bond moment: Sam Smith revealed that he will feature in the new music video for James Bond's Writing's On The Wall theme song by unveiling a teaser clip
Sam shared the clip via his Instagram page this week alongside the words, 'The official video is coming...'
With the opening interlude the song in the background, the sharp-suited singer - slender from his recent significant weight loss comes into view and passes a familiar line of coffins dressed in Union Jack flags.
The scene is reminiscent of the one used in the last Bond film, Skyfall, in which actress Dame Judi Dench's character M casts a sombre glance over the scene at a funeral, shot inside London's King William restaurant.
The highly-anticipated Spectre track - which will accompany the November release - was finally unveiled last Friday morning.

Latch hitmaker Sam received a mixed response to his new theme, despite it being tipped for a No1 spot this weekend, the first James Bond song to achieve such a feat.
There have been 23 theme songs and of them, the best-performers, Adele's Skyfall and Duran Duran's A View To A Kill, peaked at number 2 in the charts.
However, among the criticism of Writing's On The Wall, some have accused the singer of 'ripping off' Michael Jackson's Earth Song.
Many fans took to Twitter to criticise the 23-year-old vocalist's song for the new 007 flick, with some claiming it bears an uncanny likeness to the iconic 1995 hit.

Uncanny resemblance: Some critics have accused the Grammy-award winning singer of 'ripping off' Michael Jackson's Earth Song
British TV presenter Jenni Falconer was one of the first to highlight the likeness, writing: 'Anyone else think #WritingsOntheWall has an Earth Song sound to it in parts?'
But she wasn't the only one, with other similar reactions from fans including: 'The new Bond theme is way better than I expected although it’s poor lyrically. Anyone picking up some Earth Song vibes? #writingsonthewall' [sic].
Another added: 'Initial reaction to #writingsonthewall - sounds like a mixture of ‘Earth Song’ & something you’d hear in a theatre production. Disappointed.'

Catchy tune: But Jenny wasn't the only one, with other similar tweeters joking that Sam had covered the MJ track
Aside from the Jackson comparisons, it seems a lot of users were pining for Shirley Bassey, following her 1964 hit, Goldfinger
One fan wrote: 'I don't like the Bond track from Sam Smith, there I've said it. They should have called Shirley Bassey back. #itsgottobebassey'.
Another agreed: 'Cant say im a fan of the new Sam Smith #bondtheme . Trying to be too cool by going with a chart star? Was Shirley Bassey too busy? #bond' [sic].
But one person who was pleased with Sam's version was Sir Roger Moore, who famously replaced Sean Connery in the 007 series.
He wrote on Twitter: 'Sam Smith has delivered a very haunting and wonderfully orchestrated #spectre theme song. Well done!'
Mixed response: Fans took to Twitter to criticise the 23-year-old's song for the new 007 flick, Spectre, with some saying it's a rip-off of Michael Jackson's Earth Song
Others added: 'Opinion might be divided but I LOVE Sam Smith's new Bond song #mypennysworth' and 'Love the Spectre song already, Sam Smith has done it justice' [sic].
Ajay Chowdhury, from the James Bond International Fan Club, said the song has 'automatically achieved classic Bond song status.'
He explained: 'It’s a perfect combination of Sam [Smith] meets Sam [Mendes, the film's director].
'It’s big and dramatic and showcases the full range of Sam Smith’s extraordinary voice.

Sam's army: Praise included one fan who claimed he had goosebumps listening to the track while another said she was left speechess
'There are three types of Bond song - the big, bombastic showstopper exemplified by Shirley Bassey’s Goldfinger, the dark, melancholic, regretful ballad of which Nancy Sinatra’s You Only Live Twice is an example, and finally the heroic, rock anthem like Paul McCartney’s Live And Let Die.
'Sam Smith’s song belongs to the second of these categories. Writing’s On The Wall will undoubtedly go on to endure as an evergreen: another quality of the best Bond songs.'
Speaking on the BBC Radio 1 Breakfast Show with Nick Grimshaw on Friday morning, when the track was unveiled, Grammy-Award winning vocalist Sam revealed he wrote it so quickly because he didn't feel under pressure.
First look: Sam released the first teaser for his James Bond Spectre theme tune on his Twitter page on Monday
He explained: 'I haven’t really felt pressure at all with Bond until the last few days actually because I’m just so nervous about what people are going to think about it.'
The London-born star - who shot to fame after featuring on the Disclosure track Latch in 2012 - told X Factor judge Grimmy that he doesn't believe it will top the charts.
He said: 'I don’t think it’s a number one friendly song if you know what I mean. Who knows, but I don’t think it will at all, but I’m not looking for that.'
After the song had its first play on the radio, Sam took to Twitter to thank fans for their support, saying it's a dream for him to write and perform the new 007 single.
He follows acclaimed singers including Adele and Dame Shirley Bassey.
He wrote to his 3.57million fans: 'I have been dreaming of this moment for a long long time.
'Thank you for all your amazing messages. Today is such a special day for me and I am so grateful to everyone supporting this track xx'.

Back soon: Daniel Craig will reprise his role as 007 in the new James Bond flick, Spectre
He also spoke on the Capital FM Breakfast Show and when asked about whether he'd love to win an Oscar for it - like Adele did - he said: 'It's not even something I'm thinking about.
'I'm excited for people to hear it and I hope it just does the film and the legacy justice.'
He recently revealed it took him only 20 minutes to write the highly-anticipated theme song.
The Stay With Me singer delighted James Bond fans on Monday when he shared a video sneak-peek of the Spectre track on his Twitter page.
Alongside a snippet of the track, he wrote: 'Four days! Thanks to everyone pre-ordering, can't wait for you to hear Writing's On The Wall.'
The 15-second clip gave little away, showing an artistically-shot promo teaser which is set to the soundtrack of a sizeable string and brass band.
Sam first confirmed he had been chosen to provide the acclaimed music track for the latest 007 installment earlier in the month after initially denying all speculation.
Spectre hits UK cinemas on October 26 and is released in the US on November 6.
Big clue: Sam, 23, dropped the first major hint that he would be recording the theme song when he shared a snap of him wearing a ring emblazoned with the Spectre logo earlier in the month
Such a tease: The chart-topper previously denied all involvement in the highly-acclaimed musical theme tune
Looks familiar: The logo has been a key part of the promo push for Spectre so far and featured on a poster for the film in December
