Go for Gold like Cindy Crawford!

When you're a super model and fashion icon like Cindy Crawford you know how to look gorgeous, so we're definitely taking her cue on this one. Gold pumps. So flashy, so fun, so good. Crawford's particular pair, here, are from Saint Laurent.

Known for its Parisian cool staples, Saint Laurent is a fan favorite among stars like, the Kardashians, Kate Moss and Victoria Beckham.

We are loving Cindy's pairing with a sailor like, grommet embellished, navy blue jumpsuit. The stark contrast allows the shoes to truly shine bright.

Gold pumps are as versatile as a nude heel, but amped up a few notches. They certainly add a great pop of color and glitz, and we recommend pairing yours with a structured dress, or cigarette jeans.

The Versace model added, 'Doing the book made me dread it not quite as much.'

As for why she chose the format she did - her book is a combination of a diary and a photo essay - she said, 'I never wanted to write a book because I didn't want to do a biography or a giant coffee table book that just collects dust.

'So I did this to celebrate turning 50.'

The supermodel talked about her ex-husband Richard Gere with Porter magazine this week.

'Look, I learned a lot from Richard. I learned about how to be famous. Again, that’s not a universal lesson. And a lot of the personal things, everything else I learned from that, were for me,' she said.

The beauty, who is now married to Rande Gerber, explained exactly why Richard, 66, is distinctly absent from her autobiographical book - Becoming - in which she shares particularly meaningful stories and lessons she's learned.

Candidly, she said: 'It’s not something I want to share. If I felt that there was a great good that could come of it, I might have shared more, but I didn’t think that there was anything for other people to learn or benefit from. And I wanted to be respectful.'

In her new book Becoming, which she wrote with Katherine O'Leary and is being published by Rizzoli International Publications, she talked about being bullied as a child.

‘The mole’, as it is called, always plagued Cindy when she was younger and brought tears to her eyes when the football players shouted, ‘Hey, little Crawford, you have chocolate on your face!’

She talked to her mom about having it removed but her mother’s attitude was, ‘You know what your mole looks like. You don’t know what a scar will look like’.

Even a modeling agency got in on the act of suggesting she remove it. One Japanese makeup artist tried to cover it up with makeup that made it look like one giant pimple.

Cindy’s first paying job was a newspaper ad for Marshall Field wearing a Cross-Your-Heart bra. It paid $150 and beat working in the cornfields. And they never even brought up her mole.

Within hours the picture was all over her high school after appearing in the Chicago Tribune.

After Cindy made her appearance on the cover of American Vogue with her mole, it was never an issue again and in fact ironically became her trademark.

Cindy also details how some girls pranked her when she was in high school, telling her a store wanted her to model for them. When Crawford got all dressed up and went to the store, she learned they had never called.
