The comment suggests former Manchester City right-back Richards has been keeping a watchful eye over the Frenchman's fashion statements in recent weeks, of which there are plenty.

But the full black hood and cape has apparently crossed the line.

It's all in jest, of course, with the serious business for Villa coming on Saturday when they travel to Liverpool.

Tim Sherwood's side take a n almost five-year unbeaten record at Anfield into the match, and are boosted by the fact their former star striker Christian Benteke won't be in action for the opposition due to a hamstring injury.

But they're desperate for a win, with their last three points in the Premier League coming back on the opening day in August at Bournemouth.

The last time they met Liverpool was in April for the FA semi-final in which Villa came out 2-1 winners thanks to goals from Fabian Delph, who is now at Manchester City, and Benteke, who moved from Villa to Merseyside in the summer.
