'It took a while for it to sink in': Sam Faiers confirms she's FIVE months pregnant... and reveals there's 'no hurry' to marry boyfriend Paul Knightley

She announced her pregnancy just over two weeks ago, but Sam Faiers is in fact five months pregnant.

The former TOWIE star, 24, confirmed the news to OK! magazine while appearing on the cover, also revealing that her and boyfriend Paul Knightley, 26, will be walking down the aisle following their whirlwind romance.

Talking about her pregnancy for the first time, the Essex beauty said the couple were shocked to discover she was expecting.

She said: 'We were both really excited and happy. It was like a nervous excitement and a shock – it took a while for it to sink in.' 

The loved-up pair - who've been dating for 10 months after meeting at an Essex bar last October - also revealed that they'd spoken about having children in the past but were lucky to conceive as soon as they did.

Sam said: 'It was something that we wanted, yes.' Her property developer boyfriend agreed: 'We spoke about it for a quite a bit and then it just happened. It was instant.'

The former The Only Way Is Essex Star added: 'I hate the word "trying". It wasn't like, "Right, let's try now." And then obviously it just happened. I suppose we were lucky. We just didn't think it would happen that fast.'

Sam - who suffers from Crohn's disease - also confirmed that the parents-to-be will be walking down the aisle, but they're in no hurry to exchange vows.

She explained: 'I don't want Paul to feel under pressure to propose just because I'm expecting – but we will get married.'

The ex-reality star added that they they're due to have their 20-week scan, but they won't be finding out the sex of their unborn baby, which is due in the first half of January 2016.

Sam said: 'We're happy that the baby is healthy and we just want everything to go to plan.'

The blonde beauty appeared on the cover of the magazine, showcasing her baby bump for the first time.

Displaying her changing shape in a fitted, coral, off-the-shoulder frock, her doting boyfriend is seen holding her waist affectionately.

Sam follows in her big sister Billie's footsteps as she prepares to become a mother for the first time.

Billie gave birth to her daughter Nelly in July 2014 with long-term boyfriend and now fiancé Greg Shepherd.
