Taylor Swift goes on rumour patrol as she mocks reports claiming she paid for $25m LA estate in cash and is planning castle wedding with Calvin Harris

Being one of the most famous musicians in the world, she always gets the rumour mill whirling.

But Taylor Swift has taken it upon herself to put an end to the buzz.

The 25-year-old singer took to her Twitter account on Tuesday to shoot down two different reports that have been circulating about her personal life.

One of the recent reports had to do with her possibly buying a sprawling estate in Los Angeles while the other was a bit juicier revolved around possible wedding plans between her and beau Calvin Harris.

She wrote to her over 64million followers: 'What the press says I'm doing: Buying a Bev Hills mansion, getting married in an English castle.

'What I'm doing: Playing a show in St. Louis.'

Impressive: The 25-year-old began the short Twitter rant by seemingly addressing the Variety report that she splashed $25million in cash for the Samuel Goldwyn estate in the ritzy LA neighbourhood of Beverly Hills

Taylor first referred to the report from Variety on Tuesday that claimed she had paid $25million in cash for the Samuel Goldwyn estate in the ritzy LA neighbourhood of Beverly Hills.

Getting serious: She also addressed rumours that her Calvin Harris, 31. is shopping for an engagement ring and that they have been talking marriage

The sprawling property is nearly two-acres including a nearly 11K-square-foot main house complete with six bedrooms and at least five bathrooms.

Features also include: a two-room guest apartment above the garage, swimming pool, large gardens, a sunken tennis court and pool house featuring a kitchenette.

The second report Taylor seemingly acknowledged was one from OK! Magazine last week which claimed that her 31-year-old Scottish DJ beau has been doing some engagement ring shopping at XIV Karats in the same neighbourhood.

'He said he wanted something "very special" for Taylor,' said a source for the weekly. 'He was asking about the best cuts and eyed a ring that was $1.4 million! He was clearly eager to get the perfect rock, no matter the cost.'

The publication went on to claim that though Calvin has yet to pop the question, they have been planning their wedding and have already discussed the perfect location.

Taylor also mentioned a castle in her social media posting, which no doubt is a reference to the reports last month that she is interested in snapping up the Tower of Lethendy in Scotland.

It was claimed that the Shake It Off singer is understood to have her heart set on the £4.6million Scottish tower, located 14 miles north of Perth, so she can have a base close to boyfriend Calvin Harris' family.

The 16th Century estate is located just an hour's drive from Edinburgh where Dumfries-born Calvin's family live, with the US star getting serious with the producer and DJ, who she's been dating since February.

Tower of Lethendy is certainly a home fit for the pop superstar, boasting eight bedrooms and seven bathrooms in the main house - a Scottish Baronial manor house which dates back to 1570 - as well as two gate lodges and two staff cottages.

The estate also includes its own 18-hole golf course, heated swimming pool and tennis courts across the 40-acre site.

Regardless of what her personal or real estate plans are, she is continuing on with her The 1989 World Tour as she is set to perform in St. Louis, Missouri on Tuesday night.
