Julia Louis-Dreyfus' son, Charlie Hall, is a Northwestern University basketball walk-on

  • Charlie Hall is a freshman walk-on for Northwestern University's basketball team in Illinois
  • He is the son of actress Julia Louis-Dreyfus and actor Brad Hall
  • Both of his parents attended Northwestern in Evanston
  • Hall attended the same high school as former NBA player Baron Davis

The talent doesn't fall from the tree in this Hollywood A-lister's family.

Former Seinfeld star Julia Louis-Dreyfus' son, Charlie Hall, is a freshman walk-on for the basketball team at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois.

On Wednesday, Louis-Dreyfus tweeted, 'So proud of our boy. Yes, he got the height from me.'

Even though the actress joked on Twitter about her son's height, it appears as though the six-foot-five-inches guard inherited it from his father, Brad Hall, who stands at six-foot-two-inches.

While playing basketball at Crossroads School for Arts & Sciences, Hall averaged 15.3 points, 11 rebounds and five assists per game during his final season.

The talented hooper, whose parents both attended Northwestern, graduated from the same private high school in Los Angeles as former NBA players Baron Davis and Austin Croshere, actors Jack Black, Jonah Hill, Gwyneth Paltrow and Kate Hudson.

Not to mention, the 205-pound athlete was also the team captain and the recipient of the coaches award.

Hall, who is left-handed, helped his high school reach their best playoff finish since Davis attended the prestigious high school.

Outside of playing for his high school's team, Hall has also played for Earl Watson Elite on the AAU circuit.

In the last 11 years, Northwestern has not finished higher than seventh in the Big 10 conference, so hopefully Hall can help change things around.

Inside NU notes that 'Even if Hall doesn't help the on-court product, he will certainly help boost the off-court atmosphere.'

This upcoming college basketball season, Hall will be sporting the number 10 jersey on court for the wildcats.

It shouldn't come as a surprise to spot his parents cheering him on this upcoming season.
