It would be easy to look a little drab when wearing an all-grey ensemble.

But cunning stylist Emmy Rossum added a bold dash of colour to her look when she also ventured out with a neon blue designer handbag worth thousands of dollars in Beverly Hills on Wednesday.

The Shameless star seemed in high spirits as she pounded the pavement in the well-heeled area of Los Angeles County.

Emmy, 29, looked in fine form indeed in her tight-fitting grey top, plaid trousers and matching flat ballet-style shoes.

But it was her lovely $2,500 Ralph Lauren leather handbag which really caught the eye, along with her chic pair of thick-rimmed sunglasses.

The saucy stunner certainly had reason to be in a good mood, for she accepted writer and director Sam Esmail’s proposal last month after two years of dating.

This is the second marriage for the Mystic River star, who was previously married to wealthy music executive Justin Siegel.

The former couple tied the knot in February 2008, when Emmy was just 21. The move backfired however for Justin, who is now 34, filing for divorce the following September.

Emmy and Sam, 38, got together after meeting on set of the 2014 film Cornet, which he directed and she starred in.

Back in October, Emmy said on Live! With Kelly And Michael that Sam is 'a bit of a nerd', adding: 'He doesn’t know chivalry too well, so we have to bust his chops a little bit and tell him every time a woman stood up and went to the restroom, he had to stand up.'

Shameless, a spin-off of the superior UK show, premiered in 2011 and will return for its sixth season in January.
