And on Tuesday evening Hoedown Throwdown singer Miley Cyrus certainly proved she is intent upon living up to her self-proclaimed identity.

The 22-year-old was heading home after an Italian dinner wearing an ostentatious denim outfit in New York City.

Miley sported a baggy denim jumpsuit teamed with a heavily embroidered denim jacket as she walked to her place of residence after dinner.

The titillating star wore brightly coloured dreadlock hair extensions and massive magic mushroom earrings.

Completing her attire were low key Converse sneakers as she walked causally through the night streets.

Earlier this week Miley wore pimple ointment on her face during her flight to NYC as she shared a selfie from the bathroom of the airplane.

She captioned the mirror image to her 29.1million followers: 'zit cream / in- flight realne$$.' 

Miley has definitely been making sure she has a good complexion as a week and a half ago she shared some topless photos of herself with a facial mask on.

The 22-year-old later showed off the bounty of her beautification efforts, sharing an image of herself in a Letterman jacket as she got ready to head for a night out.

This time she boasted: 'The aftermaskkkkk aftermathhhhhhhh.'
