Tina Malone has unveiled her slimline new figure after undergoing surgery totalling £50,000 - as well as a procedure to fix an implant that 'exploded' after her op.

The actress, 52, had breast implants, a facelift, eye-lift and the handfuls of sagging skin caused by losing 11 stone following a gastric band were removed.

The Shameless star, from Liverpool, who is now a petite 8st 2lb has chronicled her hard-won transformation - including the 'horrendous' moment she heard a 'pop' and yellow fluid started leaking from her breast to the floor - in Tina Malone: My New Body, which airs on TLC on Thursday.

Tina now has her ideal body and is the 'finished product' after losing weight and having surgery

She said: 'This is me. I'm finally complete. Was it worth going through it all? Absolutely.

'I feel like the finished product. I feel blessed.

'I've got my beautiful baby, my gorgeous eldest girl, my house, my hubby and a wonderful family. And I've finally got my body back in shape.'

Tina, best known for her role in Channel 4's Shameless, has had plenty of well-wishers with people calling her brave for going to such lengths.

She said: 'I'm not courageous. Lots of people on Twitter have said 'oh my God, isn't she brave' but I'm not.

'Brave is tying yourself to a tanker with your family inside it, trying to escape a despot, or coming to a country that doesn't want you with nothing in your pocket.

'I'm not brave. What I have done is about making me feel and look better.

Tina is now smiling following the surgery but also went through a tough time after her left breast 'popped' after she did not rest up for long enough following surgery

'I was sore and in pain because I chose to be. But I have no regrets – I feel great.'

The actress lost 11st 4lb in 16 months when she had a gastric band fitted five years ago, reaching a size 8 and slimming down to 8st 2lb.

She put off further surgery following this because she wanted to have IVF to fulfil her dream of having her baby, Flame, who will be two in December.

Tina said: 'I had the band loosened to feed the baby and I went up to 13.5st when I was pregnant with her.

'When I had the band tightened in March last year, I went back to 9st 1lb and a size 10 but I wanted to get rid of the excess skin which, however hard I worked out, I was never going to get rid of.'

She met her her future husband at boot camp while losing the weight.

Personal trainer Paul Chase, 28, is 19 years her junior and the same age as her daughter Danielle.

She decided that surgery was the only way of getting rid of the loose flesh she was carrying around.

'I have always been aware I'm not a looker, I never was. I just wanted to be my best.'

Tina had two gastric operations in 2009 after finding out she was nine stone overweight.

She had a gastric balloon fitted first followed by a gastric band, but after losing so much weight she was left with saggy skin.

The former Celebrity Big Brother contestant turned to The Hospital Group, in Rodney Street, Liverpool, and embarked on a series of operations which saw 13lbs of skin removed.

In March, she had surgery on her arms to remove her 'bingo wings' and a month later she underwent the operation to remove the excess stomach flesh.

In June, she had a boob job and implants and in August finished her surgery with a final operation to give her a facelift and eye lift.

She said: 'Everything's done now.'

But there have been complications along the way and Tina's left breast 'exploded' just days after her operation.

Tina said she had a three-in-one breast augmentation to lift her boobs, cut away excess skin and insert C-cup implants after being depressed by their sagging appearance.

She said she heard a 'pop' and then yellow fluid started leaking onto the floor. After being rushed into hospital, she was told it was a result of not resting up following surgery.

She said: 'That was my fault.

The actress said she has received support calling her 'brave' but she doesn't believe that's the case, she just wants to have the best body she can, pictured left and right before the surgery

'I had been told not to do too much and, in spite of my mum and my husband, Paul, telling me to rest and recuperate, I was picking the baby up and I stretched my arm up and heard and felt something split.

'It was horrendous – but it was me doing too much.

She added she regretted not taking his advice seriously enough but said the surgeon was able to successfully fix her breast.

Tina, who is also mother to 33-year-old Danielle from a previous relationship, said she was given antibiotics for the infection and was sent home to rest following her surgery.

Up until then, surgeons were delighted at Tina's progress, she said: 'They kept saying I needed three months in between operations and I kept saying "no, seven weeks will be fine".

'And I was right. I have healed really quickly and the scars are there but they are fading really quickly. I am delighted.'

Tina documented her cosmetic surgery journey on TLC following the success of her fly-on-the-wall series with the network about having an IVF baby at the age of 50.

Tina, who hosts a pub quiz every week and also teaches drama, says she can't wait until Christmas because she 'can finally wear a little black dress.'
