Speaking to TV3’s Story, Justin said: ‘I swear I'll get one if you hook me up with a tattoo artist.’

He admitted that he had a couple of ideas in mind as he continued: ‘I realistically have time, I'll get one tonight, seriously.’

The star did not reveal exactly what design he had in mind, but he could well opt to follow in the lead of fellow pop star Rihanna and brave getting a Maori tribal tattoo.

Tattoo lover Rihanna proved she has a high threshold with it comes to pain as she was seen getting the tattoo etched into her sign with a chisel and mallet in October 2013.

A two-minute video of Rihanna getting the elaborate designs of lines and symbols from her fingernails down to the middle of her forearm from tattooist Inia Taylor at the Moko Ink studio in West Auckland.

In the video, the 27-year-old singer was seen maintaining her composure for the majority of the clip, before she starts grimacing as the process comes to an end.

The singer spent much of Thursday doing media interviews, but was spotted dining at Sean Connolly's restaurant, The Grill.

On Friday, the crooner will be performing to a select crowd of fans at a barbecue show - dubbed the Bieber-Q.
