The Kardashians and the Jacksons go way back - back to the time Kim dated T.J. Jackson when they were teens in the early '90s and then later when Kourtney babysat T.J.'s son Royal.

The two mega families got a chance to reunite and share memories in a sneak peek of Lifetime's The Jacksons: Next Generation ahead of Friday's premiere.

Kris and Kourtney were among the VIP guests at Taryll Jackson's 40th birthday party where they also bumped into Taryll's brothers Taj, 42, and T.J., 38.

Kardashians and Jacksons reunite: Kourtney Kardashian and her mom Kris Jenner got a chance to catch up with their friends from another famous family in the premiere episode of The Jacksons: Next Generation

The three brothers are the sons of Michael Jackson's older brother Tito, 61.

There were plenty of hugs and birthday wishes, but the best part was when Kourtney, 36, spied T.J.'s 15-year-old Royal whom she used to babysit when he was a youngster.

The mother-of-three, who quipped that she didn't even like kids at the time, made everyone chuckle when she recalled how Royal was 'obsessed with me and my boobs for some reason.'

The minute teaser began with birthday boy Taryll spotting Kris, 59, in the friendly crowd and calling out, 'Hi!'

'I just wanted to say Happy Birthday,' Kris said with a chuckle as the two shared a warm hug.

'How are you?' he asked and Kris said, 'Good! Did you see Kourt?'

When Taryll said that he didn't get to greet Kourtney yet, Kris called her eldest daughter over to them.

'I used to babysit you': Kourtney informed Royal, '... I didn't even like kids but I loved you and you were like obsessed with me and my boobs for some reason'

T.J. and his teenage son Royal soon joined the happy little gathering, and Kris and Kourtney couldn't get over how much Royal has grown.

'I used to babysit you,' Kourtney informed Royal. 'And I didn't even like kids but I loved you and you were like obsessed with me and my boobs for some reason.'

Everyone had a good laugh over that one, especially Royal.

'Kris was an important person for me when I lost my mother,' said T.J.. 'I was dating Kim at the time and spending a lot of time with Kim and her family. So Kris was like a mother to me and I'll always respect and love her because she really embraced me and helped me recover.'
