Having just marked their 15th wedding anniversary earlier this month, Real Housewives of Orange County's Shannon Beador and her husband David should be celebrating.

Instead the couple recently visited the set of Watch What Happens Live together and revealed they're still trying to work past the long-term affair David had which seems to be tearing Shannon apart.

The reality star has been very candid about her marriage struggles and confessed that her husband's former mistress contacted the mother-of-three.

Last month, DailyMail.com exclusively identified David's mistress as blonde executive Nicole McMackin, who is married to the president of a successful Orange County tech firm.

'I have actually spoken to her because she called me once,' Shannon told Andy Cohen in a preview of an interview set to air on Bravo on Monday. 'But I've never sought her out.'

'In that conversation I wanted to say certain things but I didn't. I said, "I want my family back."'

Beador continued, 'Her response was, "He's obsessed with me! He wants to marry me! I don't even know the guy," and it was not, it wasn't a kind conversation.'

David's extramarital affair included secret hotel trysts in Newport Beach, including the night of Shannon's 50th birthday, and lasted eight months but left life-long scars for his wife and three daughters.

'I don't think people understand the level of hurt and I'm just going to give an example,' Shannon began to explain.

However Shannon continued, 'So when David left me for those two weeks, he would still come and pick the kids up from school.'

'And one day he handed (our daughter) Stella his wedding ring and said, "Give this to your mother, I don't want it anymore," and that was a knife in my heart.'

'I thought we're never going to get back together and I had to do some of the interview commentary for the show and I wore his wedding ring because there wasn't any way I was going to give up.'
