Looking classy baby! Ivanka Trump shows off the beginnings of a bump in elegant black gown at ballet gala

As a designer, she was never going to spend her pregnancy hiding beneath shapeless maternity wear.

And Ivanka Trump looked as elegant as ever in a tailored black gown as she displayed the beginnings of a bump in New York on Wednesday night.

Attending a gala in honour of the New York ballet, the blonde beauty looked happy and healthy as she walked the red carpet.

Cut an elegant swath in a black gown like Ivanka

Ivanka Trump has a lot on her plate these days. Her father's running for president, she's expecting baby number-three and, all the while, she's running her clothing and jewelry businesses.

On Wednesday night, she attended a gala in honour of the New York ballet and wore her own jewelry and clutch, making sure she plugged her label on Instagram the next morning. She did, however, also give a shout-out to designer Pamella Roland, who designed her gown, the star of the sartorial show in our opinion.

We love the combination of black and blue, the slimming cut and cutouts on the bodice. The dress hails from the designer's pre-fall 2015 collection and although Ivanka's exact dress isn't for sale online, click right to see similar silhouettes.

If you'd rather have a look around, check out the black-and-blue maxis we've rounded up below. Or stick with cutouts in all-black.
