Despite looking as elegant as ever, Queen Letizia attracted some concern as she revealed her thin arms when she stepped out in Caceres earlier today.

The mother-of-two was at the Javier Garcia Tellez secondary school in Caceres, Extremadura, attending the opening of their vocational training courses.

Since she began her reign as Queen over a year ago Letizia has seemed to steadily lose weight.

Despite looking as elegant as ever as she stepped out in Caceres today, Queen Letizia attracted some unwanted attention as she revealed her skinny arms in a slim-fitting burgundy dress

Her slight frame first attracted unwanted attention in May after she revealed a bony collarbone and shoulder blades in a strapless cocktail dress during a gala dinner in Honduran capital Tegucigalpa.

A month later, her appointment as a UN Special Ambassador for Nutrition attracted a few raised eyebrows from critics due to her own slender frame.

Even though she did not have her own children to contend with on this particular school visit, the 43-year-old showed her maternal side when she scooped up a young girl who had come along to get a glimpse of the royal

Although her daughters Leono and Sofia, are now 10 and eight, Letizia showed she still has the knack with little ones as she posed with young girl for a photo.

Then in August, she made headlines again when the stepped out in a sleeveless top that revealed a pair of very spindly arms at a dinner at La Almudaina Palace while on holiday in Mallorca.

But despite concerns for her health, the Queen seemed in jolly spirits.

The Queen made a rare appearance at the school gate - although it was a little different to the average mother's daily run.

There were no trainers for this school appearance though, instead the Queen looked her typical super-chic self in a burgundy knee-length dress.

But in true Letizia style the classic dress had a trendy twist with inside-out feature seams and a striking 'V' neckline.

And showing she is up to the minute with the latest hair trends, the stunning queen wore her hair in lose waves to the event.

Only yesterday the Queen appeared with super-sleek, straight locks when she attended an audience with the Foundation Against Drug Addiction at the Zarzuela Palace in Madrid.

Letizia, attended the event with Sofia, her 76-year-old mother-in-law, wearing matching coloured beige suits.
