  • 32-year-old made his return from a groin injury in Sunday's win vs Levante

Barcelona right back Dani Alves has won 20 medals during his time at the Nou Camp but now his girlfriend has added to their impressive family trophy cabinet.

Joana Sanz was crowned the best model at the L'Oreal Paris Awards on Monday ahead of the 2016 Spring/Summer edition.

Alves wasn't in attendance for his Spanish partner's presentation though, with his focus solely on Barca's tough midweek clash at Celta Vigo.

Barca travel to Balaidos on Wednesday off-the-back of a 4-1 win at home to Levante on Sunday night.

The Nou Camp encounter was the 32-year-old's first game back from a groin injury he sustained in their La Liga season-opener against Athletic Bilbao.

And Alves's return to fitness came as timely boost for Luis Enrique following news of the former's compatriot Rafinha's cruciate ligament injury.

Rafinha damaged his knee in Barca' 1-1 Champions League draw at Roma last week - leaving the Catalan club short of reinforcements.

As a result, Barcelona have asked the Spanish federation and FIFA to allow them to play Turkish midfielder Arda Turan due to Rafinha's long-term knee injury.

Turan was signed in the summer from Atletico Madrid, as was Aleix Vidal of Sevilla, with the understanding the pair would not be available until January due to the transfer ban handed to Barca because they illegally signed under-age players.

Rules stipulate that in emergency cases such as injury, players can be replaced outside the normal transfer windows.

'The club has contacted the Spanish federation and FIFA to ask whether they can replace Rafinha,' a Barca spokesman said.

'Looking into the regulations it seems as though it is possible to register him as the two transfer windows are now passed.'
