Josey can be a gender neutral name, typically short for Joseph or Josephine. In Hebrew, it means 'God will add (another son).'

Perhaps the best known Josey is the central character in 1976 movie The Outlaw Josey Wales.

Hollis started as an English surname, meaning 'dweller at the holly trees'.

Naya is said to have had a 'very easy' birth. A source told Us Weekly magazine: 'They are so excited to be first-time parents. It was a very easy pregnancy and birth.'

Though it has only been a few weeks since the little boy - whose name has not been revealed - was born, the couple have taken to parenthood very well.

The source added: 'Naya was born to be a mother and is doing really great so far. And Ryan has amazing paternal instincts and has been waiting on them both hand and foot.'

Naya - who played Santana Lopez in the Fox show - previously described pregnancy as 'one of the most amazing, fulfilling things I've ever done' meaning she felt she was finally 'doing something in this world'.

The actress and 32-year-old Ryan - who married in Mexico in July 2014 after a whirlwind romance - announced they were expecting a baby in February.

Alongside a picture of herself and Ryan as children, the actress wrote on Instagram: 'Surprise! We're having a baby! Ryan and I feel so blessed and can't wait to welcome the newest member of our family.'

She first alerted fans to the news with a cryptic Tumblr post that said 'First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes...'

The actress - who was previously engaged to rapper Big Sean - admitted during her pregnancy that she and her spouse had struggled with sex because of her changing shape and the idea that the baby was there with them.

She said: 'Things like sex with my husband became a bit odd for me due to the fact that I was now limited to about two positions in order to not squash -- as my husband puts it -- 'its roof' or have the baby (my belly) staring him in the face.

'I feel like men are constantly imagining their baby winking at them when they make love to their pregnant wives thus making sexy times more few and far between.'

The actress stunned fans when she wed Ryan in Cabo San Lucas in July 2014 - just three months after ending her six month engagement to Big Sean.

Although they didn't date for long before tying the knot, they had apparently been friends for four years.

Ryan and Naya shared a baby shower with friends in early August, celebrating with Glee co-stars Heather Morris and Amber Riley.

The star's Glee castmembers are said to be at the centre of an explosive memoir that Naya announced in June of this year.

The actress is set to call the book Sorry Not Sorry: Dreams, Mistakes, And Growing Up and it is set to be published in spring 2016.

Naya sold her memoir to Joanna Ng at Tarcher, with Inkwell Management's Lauren Smythe brokering the deal.

Of the upcoming book, Tarcher wrote: 'Chronicling her path from riches to rags and back again - she was a Hooters waitress at one point, before landing the role of Santana Lopez on the Fox hit Glee - the book will be a warts-and-all account in which she offers "candid thoughts on topics ranging from dating... to the challenges of being mixed-race in Hollywood."'
