She's making a name for herself as a supermodel on the world's hottest runways, but it would appear her talents aren't confined to the catwalk.

In a new interview and shoot with Porter magazine, Bella Hadid has revealed her sporting ambition, explaining she dreams of representing the USA in equestrian events at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

The 18-year-old beauty discussed her 'passion' for riding with the fashion glossy, explaining that while modelling might be her career, she finds horses offer an escape from the hectic pace of reality.

Olympic ambitions: She's making a name for herself as a rising supermodel but it appears that Bella Hadid has some sporting ambition too, as she has revealed she hopes to compete in the 2016 Olympics

Posing in a glamorous shoot for the Winter edition of the magazine, she chatted candidly about her passion which has seen her training hard for a place on the eventing team at next summer's games.

'My devotion stemmed from my mom's love of horses. I have been riding since I could walk and the fact that my mom knew everything about horses really helped my passion grow,' she revealed.

But while she explained her Olympic dreams started with her mother Yolanda Foster's love for riding, her passion for the sport has actually helped her cope with the pressures of work.

'You have to put your ego aside and concentrate': Speaking of her 'passion' for eventing, the model revealed that while she has Olympic ambition she also finds horse riding offer an escape from the hectic pace of reality

'I have been riding since I could walk': The brunette beauty, who is a nationally ranked rider, credited her mother Yolanda Foster for nurturing her love of riding from an early age

She explained that she finds training and competing in events help her adopt a meditative state: 'You know how every model is like, "I do yoga". Well, I find horses have the same effect.

'You have to put your ego aside and concentrate on making the horse do the things you want it to do, and move in the way you want it to move.'

Away from the catwalk, Bella has carved out a successful career in the competitive world of equestrian eventing, and has won awards as well as achieving a national ranking.

Posing next to her faithful horse for the shoot, the model can be seen wearing a stylish ensemble of riding-themed attire.

Wearing a terracotta blouse, which features a bow embellishment and houndstooth jodhpurs, Bella also showcased her skills on a horse during the shoot.

But while it's clear that she is taking her Olympic ambitions seriously, the model may not have had much time to devote to training in recent weeks as she has been in high demand on the catwalk.

One of the stand-out faces at the New York, London and Milan fashion weeks, the brunette beauty has shown that she is one of the most in-demand up and coming young models.

Hitting the runway in New York, the brunette beauty worked her model magic alongside her elder sister Gigi on the catwalk for Tommy Hilfiger's Caribbean-inspired Spring/Summer collection.

And most recently the beauty - who turns 19 next month - put on a striking solo display for Moschino in Milan, wearing a windex-themed outfit as part of the fashion house's car-wash themed runway.
