It has become his most famous catchphrase after hitting the stage to pick up his Best Actor Oscar in 2014.

And Matthew McConaughey is sticking to the schtick as he wore a trucker cap advertising the phrase 'alright' while stepping out for a drink with his gorgeous wife Camila Alves in New York.

The handsome 45-year-old and his bride made quite the pair as they enjoyed a night out on Wednesday night.

The two made quite the pair as Camila, 33, was elegant in a little black dress while her man was a bit more dressed down.

Wearing a baggy blue shirt and even baggier trousers, the scruffy actor looked to be opting for comfort over style for the evening.

Curiously, both husband and wife carried what were apparently handbags through the nights streets of the Big Apple.

In August Camila finally became a fellow United States citizen.

The model was grinning with glee as she posed with the movie hunk husband and their three children inside a courthouse, where she no doubt said her Pledge Of Allegiance.

Proud beefcake Matthew, 45, tweeted: 'Congratulations Camila on getting your U.S. citizenship today - another fellow and great American.'

The mother-of-three also posted online: 'First day back and look what I just went thru. It is with great pride and honor that I am happy to say I now hold an American passport!

'I have so much respect and appreciation for this country... #newuscitizen.'

Former World's Sexiest Man Alive titleholder Matthew married Camila back in June 2012, six years after they started dating.

The couple had already started a family by this point, with son Levi being born in July 2008 with daughter Vida following soon after in January 2010.

Their brood, so far, was completed when their youngest son Livingston was born in December 2012.

Camila told The View back in 2013 she worked as a maid when she first came to the States at the age of 19, and that she could barely speak English at the time.

She said: 'My father always told me, "Before you become a queen you have to learn how to take care of your own things."

'So I knew how to do all of it, but I had never really done it on a daily basis. So I was cleaning houses and I started working restaurants.'

Camila grew up in a farming family in Belo Horizonte in Brazil, and at the age of 15 visited her aunt in California and decided she was not going back. After years of hard work she started a career on modelling and has never looked back.
