She has been the toast of the fashion season, rocking the runway at some of the hottest shows over the past few weeks.

And Gigi Hadid proved she is well and truly worthy of her catwalk queen status as she joined a stellar line-up of supermodels at the Balmain Spring/Summer 2016 show at Paris Fashion Week on Thursday.

The 20-year-old bombshell stormed down the runway in a caramel-coloured crop top and bronze chain mail skirt, showing off her toned abs and incredible figure in the process.

Gigi gave her honed model glare as she strutted along the catwalk in the couture creation which flaunted her enviable curves to perfection.

The blonde beauty's slender shoulders and taut middle were exhibited through the halterneck crop top, which boasted a large, metal choker beneath.

In-keeping with the armoury feel of the collection was the curve-skimming chainmail skirt, which swished with her frame and boasted a flattering fishtail hem.

She wore matching brown-hued ankle boots, which featured a sexy lace-up front and a peep-toe.

Gigi's make-up was kept low-key with an extremely defined, arched brow and minimal eye make-up bar a dab of bronze-toned shadow.

Her hair was scraped back into a high ponytail - a look styled upon all the models parading the collection.

The star-power on the runway was extraordinary with Gigi being joined by the supermodels du jour including her sister Bella, best pal Kendall Jenner and Alessandra Ambrosio.

Bella, 18, looked sensational in a slinky black gown with an oversized cinched waist belt - in a look which was far more muted than her sister's yet equally as striking.

Kendall stole the show in a caged white ensemble, which flashed both her chest and derriere as she strode down the runway in sky-high heels with her hair scraped into the same style as the Hadid sisters and the rest of the runway models.

The girls are all huge fans of Balmain and frequently sport the brand when attending A-list soirees.

Earlier in the day, Gigi showed off her toned tum once more in a white crop top as she prepared for the star-studded show with her doting boyfriend Joe Jonas there to support her.

She looked incredible once again in a white crop top and a matching pair of tracksuit bottoms ahead of her style transformation for the show.

Wearing a pair of sunglasses, she showed off her brand loyalty as she topped off the look with a golden cape jacket by the fashion house, and added a pair of trainers - as Joe followed closely behind.

On Wednesday evening, the star was pictured going all-out in a striking, daring, sexy and gothic-inspired look.

The model joined best friend and co-model Kendall, and Balmain's Creative Director Olivier Rousteing for a night out at a cocktail party as Paris Fashion Week kicked off.

While the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star opted for a cheeky revealing ensemble - in both the chest and derriere departments - Gigi rocked a tiny dress that made her legs appear more endless than ever.

The blonde beauty looked truly sensational as she covered her svelte yet shapely figure in an almost dangerously thigh-skimming dress that gave the illusion of seeing her entire body.

Complete with a high neckline and long sleeves, the sexy piece was crafted in a distinct open weave cage-effect pattern over a nude underlay, mimicking Gigi's skin.

Gigi had, earlier in the day, sported a far more casual but no less flattering ensemble, covering her model physique in a ribbed knitted grey dress with patent ankle boots.

The group, along with close friend Hailey Baldwin, arrived in Paris for the last of this season's fashion week events on Tuesday along with Kendall's mother Kris, although she wasn't pictured on their Wednesday night outing.

Meanwhile, Gigi recently posted an impassioned rant to social networking which led her to be praised by a host of other celebrities as she criticised those who body shamed her.

Taking to Instagram to air her views, she said: 'So many people are so quick to comment negative opinions this month.

'I came to a realisation that when one gets to this point, it's important to rethink why you're doing what you do. What your message is. What you have to say.'

She continued: 'No, I don't think I have the same body type as the other models in shows. No, I don't think I am the best at any given show. Yes, I want a unique walk but I also know I have to improve.

'No, I'm not the first or last model of my type in this industry. You can make up all the reasons you think I am where I am, but really, I'm a hard worker that's confident in myself, one that came at a time where the fashion industry was ready for a change.

While some fashion fans credited Gigi's appearance after the Hilfiger show in New York, others were less than kind.

One wrote: 'Not the bum of a top model,' while another said: 'All other models on stage had better bodies than Gigi and her sister.'

She added: 'I'm just doing my job. I represent a body image that wasn't accepted in high fashion before, and I'm very lucky to be supported by the designers, stylists, and editors that I am: ones that know this is fashion, this is art; it can never stay the same.

'It's 2015. But if you're not one of those people, don't take your anger out on me. Yes I have boobs, I have abs, I have a butt, I have thighs, but I'm not asking for special treatment.

'I'm fitting into the sample sizes. Your mean comments don't make me want to change my body, they don't make me want to say no to the designers that ask me to be in their shows, and they definitely don't change the designers opinions of me.'

'If they want me in their shows, I'm in it; if they don't, I'm not. That's just how it is and how it will be. If you don't like it, don't follow me, don't watch me, cause I'm not going anywhere.'

Closing her statement, she said: 'If I didn't have the body I do, I wouldn't have the career I do. I love that I can be sexy. I'm proud of it.

'I've said it before... I hope everyone gets to a place in their life where they'd rather talk about the things that inspire them over the things that bring others down. At least be open if not part of the change, because it's undeniably happening. Happy PFW xx G.'
