Manchester United defender Luke Shaw posts picture of him putting weight on his leg as he recovers from double break

Luke Shaw has already started the long road to recovery after his horrifying leg break and the Manchester United defender shared an encouraging picture of progress on Instagram.
The 20-year-old broke right leg in two places following a challenge by Hector Moreno of PSV Eindhoven in the Champions League encounter between the two sides on Sept. 15.
But Shaw shared an image with his followers on Saturday showing him putting weight on his leg with the support of crutches.

United manager Louis van Gaal expects Shaw to be out for around six months with the injury
'Long road ahead but so happy to be able to put weight on my leg again!' Shaw captioned the image saying.
Shaw is expected to be sidelined for at least six months, United manager Louis van Gaal said Friday.
'He will be out at least six months. You can't predict the development of the rehabilitation,' Van Gaal said. 'There's always more -- and then he has to get fit.'
