On Wednesday she enjoyed some high end retail therapy with her mum Jill Tavelman in Beverly Hills.

On Thursday Lily Collins hit the chi-chi neighbourhood to continue her shopping spree on her own.

The 26-year-old was all smiles as she strolled around in the sunshine, with a small black paper bag containing goodies from Chanel hanging off her arm.

The actress daughter of rock star Phil Collins donned an eye-catching outfit beautifully put together to keep her cool as temperatures hit a toasty 80F.

Lily teamed a sheer, black and white gingham top that revealed the outline of her black bra with comfy black harem pants, cropped to ankle length, with a tight cuff.

She pushed her brunette, pixie-cut tresses back out of her eyes, which she protected with an oversized pair of dark glasses.

The Love Rosie star accessorised with brown peep-toe booties and a matching brown leather handbag that she threw over her shoulder.

And she pepped herself up with a caffeine hit from a large iced coffee that also made sure she was hydrated.

Next up, Lily plays Marla Mabrey in an as-yet-untitled movie directed by and starring Warren Beatty as Howard Hughes, set in 1950s Hollywood and looking at the later years of the reclusive millionaire and his relationship with a much younger woman.

Besides acting, The English teacher star has been busy promoting anti-bullying organisation Bystander Revolution.

October has been designated National Bullying Prevention Month and the beautiful British-American will be supporting those efforts.

The campaign aims to inspire individuals to act against bullying 'by breaking down one of the biggest barriers to change: knowledge about what to do,' according to the body's website.

Lily is also one of high-end make-up brand Lancôme's beauty ambassadors and has worked with the brand since 2013.

Her boyfriend is her Mortal Instruments: City Of Bones co-star, Jamie Campbell Bower, 26. They split up after dating from July 2012 until August 2013 and they reconciled in May.
