Saying she has a quirky sense of style is an understatement.

But one criticism that cannot be lodged at Miley Cyrus is a lack of preparedness as she carried a very functional accessory on Wednesday night.

The 22-year-old walked through the streets of New York wearing a massive sippy cup around her neck.

The Wrecking Ball singer's stepped out in  a graphic shirt dress, blue stockings and combat boots.

Miley kept warm in a sky blue denim jacket as she wore flowery hippie sunglasses even though it was dark outside.

Completing her attire for the night was a multi-coloured dreadlocked hair extension as she carried another beverage in her hand.   

Her sippy cup showed the star's flair for the magical and tragic as it had written on its side 'Unicorn Tears.'

Earlier this week Miley wore pimple ointment on her face during her flight to NYC as she shared a selfie from the bathroom of the airplane.

She captioned the mirror image to her 29.1million followers: 'zit cream / in- flight realne$$.' 

Miley has definitely been making sure she has a good complexion as a week and a half ago she shared some topless photos of herself with a facial mask on.

The 22-year-old later showed off the bounty of her beautification efforts, sharing an image of herself in a Letterman jacket as she got ready to head for a night out.

This time she boasted: 'The aftermaskkkkk aftermathhhhhhhh.'
