'Just here for the boos': Vanessa Hudgens looks more sexy than scary in tiny leather shorts and cat ear headband as she kicks off Halloween event

We might be just days into October, but it looks like Vanessa Hudgens is already in the Halloween spirit. 

The 26-year-old actress got the spooky celebrations off to an early start when she attended the Knott's Scary Farm event in Buena Park, California, on Thursday evening. 

The Spring Breakers star even made an attempt to dress in costume for the event, though her look was more sexy than scary.

Donning a cat ear headband, the High School Musical beauty showed off her slender legs in a pair of leather high-waisted shorts and a slogan T-shirt which read: 'Just here for the boos'. 

Making sure to stand out from the crowd, Vanessa paired the look with a knitted cardigan in a bright mustard hue. 

She finished the look with AllSaints' Victoria Heel Boot and a black choker necklace.

Looking more sultry than scary, Vanessa Hudgen's opts for a Wildfox tee at the Knott's Scary Farm event.

Compared to other celebrities, like Rita Ora for example, Vanessa played down the fancy dress and wore a slogan tee with 'just here for the boos' emblazoned on the chest. Click (right) to shop now. The loose-fitting T-shirt was accompanied by high waist leather shorts, an oversize mustard cardigan as well as black cat ears, obviously!

The event marked the launch of Knott's Berry Farm's seasonal Halloween event, where the park's rides and attractions are converted into macabre themes which include roaming monsters, terrifying mazes and a series of 'scare zones'.

The event certainly seemed to have influenced the singer as she later revealed that she had already decked out her home in creepy decorations.  

'HAPPY OCTOBER 1ST LOVERS. I hope you put out your Halloween decorations today. I did,' the star wrote on Twitter. 

At last year's opening, the actress gave park-goers a scary, yet pleasant, treat when she dressed in a masked costume before revealing her identity to unsuspecting fans.
