Blake Lively took to Instagram on Thursday to thank her fans for their support after announcing the closing of her lifestyle website Preserve.

The 28-year-old posted a photo of herself during a photoshoot wearing three hats atop her head while carrying a picnic basket.

'Thank you guys for your support every step of the way in the @preserve_us adventure. I couldn't be more grateful!!,' Blake wrote to her more than four million followers on Instagram.

'One day I'll stop wearing so many hats ....but ...I'll probably be dead by then, so... I'm just doin' what mama taught me ;) She's my idol. Who's yours?,' added the former Gossip Girl star.

The Age Of Adaline star in an interview with Vogue published on Wednesday confirmed that Preserve was shuttering after just one year and will close on October 9.

'I know what it’ll look like, what I’m facing publicly, that people are just going to have a heyday with this. But it’s so much worse to continue to put something out there - to ask my team to put something out there - that isn’t the best we can do,' Blake told the magazine.

The mother-of-one acknowledged that 'the only way I can prove all the negative reactions wrong is to come back with a plan that will rock people.'

'And I have that plan,' she added.

Blake also revealed that she's got Taylor Swift's Shake It Off on a continuous loop to encourage her to keep going and give herself one more shot at making her website successful.

Fire sale: Before the website goes dark, items featured on Preserve are available for purchase at steep discounts

The Town actress said she wanted to create a space intended to connect users with makers of things, experiences and stories.

Instead, she told Vogue, it had been viewed as a promotional tool for herself and her celebrity.

'We launched the site before it was ready, and it never caught up to its original mission: It’s not making a difference in people’s lives, whether superficially or in a meaningful way,' Blake said.

Preserve was launched in July 2014 to mixed reactions.

While the star described her Internet offering as 'a sort of greatest hits of Main Street, USA,' some critics scoffed at the high-priced artisan artifacts featured for sale.

They included a $95 Porter Cycling wooden crate, a crystal bowl for $450 that Blake said would bring 'beauty, imagination and warmth to those who welcome these captivating crystals into their home', as well as a $140 Butcher's Apron, a $110 Bistro Apron and $10 artisan salt.

The design and look of the website also came in for some harsh criticism.

'It looks like a promotional website for a horror movie in 2005,' said New York Magazine.

Blake has been married since 2012 to 38-year-old actor Ryan Reynolds and they have a 10-month-old daughter James together.
